Sadly our suspicions were very high about GF Paris going bankrupt. But reading this still comes to me as a shock. I feel a real pang in my heart. Bigger than the first time. Who would want a game that has already drained 2 companies ? SH** ! ! ! Why is this happening ?

Well, I was relatively new to the game, and enjoyed my brief sojourn into the world of Atys.

I would like to thank Jayney and Crialus for the huge learning curve they helped me with in this last week, and for their trust in my ability to add something to their cause .

Ryzom looked to me to have potential, and I had hardly scratched the surface, when this hapened. So even after so short a stay this has left me sad.

If nothing happens at the 11th Hour and Ryzom slips away into our happy memories, I hope to see your alter ego's in other worlds.

To tell the truth guys, 3 weeks doesnt matter. U just wouldnt be able to login. The procedure of bankrupcy requires an appointment of the liquidator to whom goes all power to do anything in the company, and the liquidator will be appointed after 3 weeks and he will just shut the servers, then the Ryzom game will be given or sold to some company to cover the debts as the liquidation procedure requires. They cant actually destroy it, they can put it on the shelf neverthelss. I think it may take more time than 3 weeks to get ryzom started if it does of course. The problem with ryzom is its stagnation-no patches, no new lands, no add-ons, very little advertisment if any and it had been in this state for 2 years! Besides it was in bad hands, a good project was in the hands of those who didnt have the money to sell it properly. But from my experience good product always finds those willing to sell it and i doubt ryzom will dissapear forever, but it will take some time to bring it back and it will be different.

It's true though, In all the years I've played, I've not seen one single advertisement brought to us by the companies. They simply failed to bring in the numbers.

Ryzom, is in my opinion the best of the best out there! It'll prevail one way or another; it's far too good a game to simply go bye-bye. Unfortunately, we all just have to wait it out.
