Re: Level based OP battles

I think what I see is not that "newbies" lack for content or are angry. I think we feel frustrated that we can't contribute more to our guilds.gcaldani wrote: What I really cannot understand is why you want low level players, aka newbies, be able to fully attend at OP battles.

Do you think all the newbies go angry because they cannot do OP battles? Or just they have so many things to do, so many things to learn that probably they don't care at first. Majority of gamers want good PvE content first, and go for PvP later.
I benefit over and over from the crafting, digging, and fighting prowess of my higher level guildies. I want to do something to help. I'm working hard on jewel crafting, I now have both a melee skill and healing over 150, and after months of trying I am just now feeling like I am anything other than a drain on my guild's resources.
Now, I know that I will have plenty of opportunity to help others from here on out. I also know that my guildies certainly never felt like I was leeching off of them. I finally got to craft something for someone to actually use and it felt REALLY good.
But I just wish that there had been some way for me to help more, sooner. Without power-grinding and missing out on the joyous journey I have had.
Now, having had this discussion, I tend to think that level-capped OP battles are probably not the answer. And I certainly don't want anything dumbed down, quite the opposite. Boredom is never an issue.
Just looking for ideas on ways to expand the range of possibilities.
