We wouldn't want anyone to *cough* accidentally *cough* trigger this bug again before it gets fixed.
the bug opnly happens if someone is silly enough to forget what side they are fighting for, and then even more silly enough to stand in front of the leader of the oposing faction.. :p

But i agree, if you cant play nicely, dont play at all

It can happens if someone log with an alt in a guild of the opposite faction and fight against his guild in purpose. Here is the exploit :P
But i dont think evil enough too as i wouldnt have found it by myself ;)

Removing outposts wars is obviously not possible!..

For future reference! I'd suggest:
-Puting in a confirmation box for both Banish options, and quit team option!
-Make Banishing a player or guild, put them into the 10min count down, before they can choose a side again! Get rid of perma banning!
-Most importantly! Don't release such obviously exploitable stuff like Nevrax has done with almost everything they have released!

Slightly different topic:
-Stop asking us to wait! With all due respect, we've gone through the "wait a few months" stage many times over!

You saying "things are moving slower then we wished" Doesn't give me much confidence in your abilites! We heard the same stuff with Nevrax, *which was all lies! If your serious about the future, approach this community in a different, more constructive way!

Not true. Undesireable, yes. But not impossible. It's probably the easiest temporary solution there is.

All those suggestions are great, but they will take time.

This bug is "occurring" (many would say "being exploited") right now. And it's easy to exploit, for those who wish to do so. There are three ways to address bugs that are known:

1) ignore it, and hope it goes away
2) fix it
3) implement a work-around

I think there would be many players cheesed off if this were ignored, and the resulting player actions would escalate this to incredible heights, rendering this option, well, silly at best.

Fixing it, the real solution, generally isn't easy and almost always takes time.

The work-around in this case is to disable the ability for people to declare war on outposts. This will prevent ANYONE from abusing this. Instead of legislating (ie: punishing) abuse and abusers, just make it not possible to abuse. The goal is to ensure fairness to ALL players, not just a few who may choose to disregard Rules, CoC, or whatever.

GF, please disable attacks on outposts until this bug is corrected, and please keep us informed about the status of this bug.

Disabling the ability to declare war isn't an option! Unless your just thinking technically/hyperthetically! Realistically it isn't!
Only Ignorance would lead you too suggest such a thing!

I agree with Final on this. In fact this bug has only caused problems three times since it surfaced a little more than two months ago (the first two incidents being both at the February 3rd battle at Malmont). The bug needs to be fixed, and we DO NEED to be able to ban people from the fight ON OUR side, so the feature needs to work as advertised, not just be shut off.

Without the ability to ban allies, we would all lose both the ability and the responsibilty to curtail unsporting or undesirable behavior by removing spawn campers, trash talkers, and the like from our respective ranks. We'd also see other undesirable and antisocial behaviour which I won't elaborate on here... since I dont' wish to encourage it or put ideas into people's minds.

That's right, it isn't a big problem. The only reason it has caused a problem now is because it is the same guild at the same OP!
Idiocy for making the Honest mistake twice, or exploiting to save your OP are both good reasons to have the guild in question be penalised! But as I expected, Monday came, nothing has happened!
