It is all about the Lore that was envisioned from the start, the dreams.....

QFE! Yes, I'm newer but I started playing this game for the Lore! The story of Atys is a rich one that needs to be expanded and explored! I would really like to see Cohen's vision for this game come true, that would make this great game/world very dynamic and awe inspiring!

QFE! ;) Sorry about the repeated quoting... or not. Im not sorry at all actually. The lore and dynamic development of the storyline in THE thing Ryzom has to offer compared to other games. Dont abandon that.

That, plus the fact that it's unique and original, not just a rehash of what you see everywhere else, is what originally drew me in as well.

I'm not one of the original crowd, but I would like to see more of the Goo threat expanding.

Yeah, why is the kami oasis still closed ? That was a good hanf out spot and I assumed it was closed in order to host soem future event....well it's almost 3 years, where's this event ?

Where's the RAIDS ? If the engine had a problem with too many players, wel;l we certainly not gonna have that problem now.

I first read about Ryzom and a couple of lines caught my eye. There was talk about a bulding skill. I wanna build stuff. Let the kitin observers tell us about an upcoming RAID and let us build ramparts and defenses.

But I have to say that the most fun I had in beta was trekking which we have kinda ruined for our new players with our escorted treks. I remember the first successful trek to Dyron and dancing on my chair when I finally made it (OK so I cheated.....ya used to be able to type a few letters in on the KB and "drag" ya dead body a 100 or so meters before spawning.....I got 150m from TP to before dying and then dragged my dead bod to get spawn).

Hah ..... that just reminded me of pre TP travel ..... "/shout someone please kill me, I wanna take death train to dyron".

The excitement of exploting a new area, seeing new creatures for the 1st time was actually thrilling. Being escorted everywhere after 3 days in game just takes all that experience away.

As for the children thing, regrinding the combat skills doesn't seem too intimidating but I don't think many jools and HA crafters gonan relish doin all that over.

I don't see the children thing as a way to keep the game going myself either being a jewel crafter! That and as everything stands it would be the same old grind over again. What this game needs is the promised lore and land expansions of the past! I would love to see the knowledge chest quests have more impact in the game, the lost knowledge pieces left behind by our ancestors implemented to open up new lands to explore!

I believe the kami oasis has been closed due to bug issues

Different "structures" in ryzom have different densities, the majorty of them you can move through if you know how, trees, rocks, ect ect
Offically kami oasis is closed for a future event, then again thathas beens aid for over two years.
