IF there had to be a server merge then yes I'd agree Aripostle outposts should take priority. I hope there is never the need for it though.blaah wrote:outposts would be a problem, but because Arispotle _has been_ figting for them longer, we get to keep them.
Only a good thing if the number of Cho players that decide to quit with the merge pay less then the cost of running Cho.blaah wrote: if there really is that low lvl population on Cho, then if it goes to unsubscribing, best that ppl from Cho do it and not Arispotle (harsh i know).
you forget new players who might be subscribing, but dont because they ended up to Cho where is low population.ashling wrote:Only a good thing if the number of Cho players that decide to quit with the merge pay less then the cost of running Cho.
no. not fair at all. not for Arispotle outpost owners who actually have earned them by (multiple) PvP battles.d29565 wrote:If there had to be a server merge, I think all Outposts should be reset to the bandits. That would be the only fair thing.
I don't know, Ari has been there longer, had more battles and has more players so you could say they are suddenly being punished for Cho needing to be merged. I think if it had to happen (and I hope it never does!) that the outposts stay the way they are on Ari.d29565 wrote:If there had to be a server merge, I think all Outposts should be reset to the bandits. A fair point but lets not name names, it's only likely to make people feel they need to defend themselves and turns this thread towards flames.d29565 wrote:In regards to the Arispotle community. What you see here on the forums from the Arispotle big mouths does not completely represent either side (add neutral too). You'll find people from both sides willing to team and be friendly with people from the other side (neutrals, again, generally are..neutral in this). There are the more extreme people on both sides, on the Karavan side: *** and *** names come to mind.
The normal people are pretty decent though.
Fair enough for you Keiko. For me though it is Cho I have much more fun on. The good part of having the two servers, different server atmospheres for people who like different thingsd29565 wrote:I dont think I will ever play on Cho again. I find no enjoyment there. All that I can do on Cho, I can do on Aris. But, all the I can do on Aris. I cannot do on Cho. Makes perfect sense really to stick with Aris.
Actually I didn't. I feel it's impossible to know how much that is happening though. You could say the same for the amount that would quit if the server merged as well but you brought that up so I just pointed out a problem with itblaah wrote:you forget new players who might be subscribing, but dont because they ended up to Cho where is low population.
I dont think It's just Aris player. Ashling plays on Cho, and he doesn't seem to think Cho players are deserving of OPs if there was a merger. It is only fair (as it would not be Choians' fault there was a merge, if there ever is) to restart Outposts. It is not hard to kill the tribes when first gaining OPs, although I do seem to recall a frantic rush to get ingame to an OP as soon as servers were up when OPs went live.tr808 wrote:Why i get a feeling from Aris players im not good enough for Ryzom since i play on Cho? Sorry, getting so off topic.
