forgive me if I don't jump for joy at the idea of a dev team thats accomplished very, very little in 2 years. Keep some of them on for general knowledge? sure. Keep 21 out of 24 of them and rely only on them for development? sorry, I see that as a negative. The old team moved at a snails pace. Now they have even fewer people in the team and we all expect them to start churning out content? not gonna happen.

yes, eventually, they will be able to get a good CSR team up and running. But how long will it take? Do they have people lined up for tomorrow? I mean, Jolt is gone by 5am UK time. So who's gonna be on at 5:01? I somehow doubt they've selected, contacted, trained and organized a schedule as to who will be CSRing.

Actually they're gone. The CSRs already made their final farewells in Yrk at 11pm GMT. At 11:01 there were no CSRs IG or in Klients.

What's up with the CSR's leaving, anyways? I mean, was there something special about their characters that it wouldn't be fair for a non-staff person to have them, or...? I'd hate to think that all these people that y'all are gnashing your teeth and rending your clothes about are just choosing not to play anymore.

I think that there is a bit of a misunderstanding here.

The CSRs are the Customer Service Representatives. The people who are there to help with possible bugs, move you when you are stuck in the scenary and generally help out. Most of them are volunteers, and all were employed by Jolt to run the support side of the game. As of 11pm last night, they were no longer allowed to serve Ryzom in that capacity and so we currently have no live support in game (or in Klients).

Gameforge seem to have mishandled this part of the severing of their contract with Jolt VERY badly.
