The solution is a lot of recoding and content balancing and simultaneous release of comparable features, or a cultural split.

Anyway back to topic.

Give meaning to the fame with civs and tribes, besides the slight change of trade with vendors. For instance, more information about them when certain (positive) fame points are reached (in ency. or when selected on the fame window).

Make goo "real", we can drive it back by harvesting or by other means. Goo creatures for those tasks that have them as target. Other effects from goo than goo damage, so we have some risks in fighting it.

More dangers in kitin invasion (or any event). If they attack Jen-Lai again, it could be lost and would have to be retaken (long campaign).
Yes I know, we could loose "toys" and that can make homins very unhappy, but it makes it more worth it in the long run if there is depth to it (and the saga of reclaiming what have been lost).

Remove the civ/faction requirement on guilds. It makes no sense at all, and is purely disruptive.

Quests, yup you heard me, quests. These are for people (like me :) ) who likes to explore and/or find out as much information as possibly.
I mean quests as in the "classic" sense, no information but the "goal" is given. One have to find all the clues/information by exploring, talking with others (NPCs, players and maybe even special event chars (dreaming I know)). Sorting out info given (there must be misinformation or none related info), deciding what to do to progress. No easy, click here to progress options.
Rewards should be something one can take pride in, and related to the quests (and if you make a quest for the Sword of Uberness, make it unique (as in only one sword can exist per shard)).

Roleplay/playstyle flag (title based?). Maybe with a field added where we can write some info.

And of course any of the other good suggestions in this thread. :p

Actually, what would make me more happy would be for Trykers to have coracles and that they would be crafted from wood, leather and resin! After all, the Tryker seem to have Celtic sensibilities and names (Names like Mac'Ninny and O'Bleh - Well, OK, I made those names up, but you know what I mean) so I don't think that a traditional Welsh one-man boat would be out of the question.

I'll not even dare to ask for larger boats (for more than one homin), though they would make me even happier.

How about that phenoix (sp) animation i heard about from Beta? Lathaniel talks so highly of it.

Or being able to bounce heal bombs off my packer, again like I heard in beta. Okay, this might be a bit extreme cause it would be easily expoiltable, but it is a wish list.

* use of the dye mission mats that are already ingame to color/add a secondary color to armors
* la capes/hats/etc
* encylopedia
* let us jump off and climb up the jettys in fairhaven instead of having to swim for 10mins to get round..
* furthering of the story - things have stalled pretty badly this last year
* regular invasions - if a zone isnt hunting in much then the wildlife rises up and triggers an invasion
* GOO - some way to fight it/spread it, goo mobs, etc
* tribe chief's giving out team missions - to attack enemy tribes, hunt, forage, etc
* master level skills
* reopen the old lands as FvF and let ppl get faction points again - the temples could use some new buildings by now :)
* put the level restrictions back on shields - surely thats a bug!
* the forgaing missions currently ingame are erm painful to say the least, and pretty much impossible to complete unless you are a high level digger - need removing or fixing
* etc, etc, etc

one thing i really wish NOT to see is lots of cookie clutter missions giving rewards - keep them in the encylopedia

This would be nice. I enjoyed EP 2 greatly. Besides, maybe I will be able to sneak into kara camp and get rid of my kara HP and be able to gain some Kami HP :)

i cabt agree more since thats deffo also a reason this game is well...in its current state.
Not enough events and IF there are events that involve PvP, some fun ass RP players want peace to dig...wth we had to raise a damn temple for our faction and some ppl wanted peace...never got there point but well idd split servers and ppl cause this game will keep going down in its current state and politics.

in addition to many (though not all) of the above i'd personally like:

A salvage skill tree! that renders an item into say 50% of its original mats into generic mats. is a tree much like harvest (i guess a form of harvesting/harvest xp) lvl = stanza of the qual of material aquired, maxed by the items original qual,.. thus some thing to do with all the piles of items used in the craft grind! and tat items on the market potentially having some value too.

Q250, 200 +150 npc mats for sale! we have stupidly rich folk, piles of dappers and nothing to spend it on... ppl say there is a need of cash sinks... crafters need mats have lots of dapper, digger really don't want dappers that often to dig so add mats to buy :)

PvP flagged folks packers to be pvp flagged too. Is silly that i can have my packer of ammo happily follow me through bomb nukes and other area damage

(this one mentioned b4) Some significant benefit (and cost) of racial alliegence, ie specific items, rites, locations, such benefits being lost if you change civilisation.

and no neutral faction please. i like the idea that the factions are a needed choice of the lesser of 2 evils almost, and that neutral is a no mans land.

That's what most people mean by a neutral faction, but it needs functionality and viability. Keep the freedom in Ryzom.
