As it is now, when comparing the number of persons needed to kill one boss with the small drop at the end, we think that we could improve the drop so that the many participants who won't get the marauders' specific drop could still be rewarded for the effort.

For now, what we have in mind is to add several stacks of q200 elevation crystals in the pockets of the bosses. Feel free to give your opinion, nothing is settled yet.
As discovered in the Kitin Exterminator bosses: far more people take part than get rewarded.

I _do_ like the idea of Civ Honour Points to _everyone_ in the battle, that can be traded in in a similar manner to Ep 2 Honour Points (For cats, race specific equipment maybe). Plus the team with the biggest DPS gets to loot for the armour bit (though as a suggestion, the person who loots gets _no_ honour points, as the loot is reward enough :) ).

And about a boss that requires cunning to kill AND brute force (at least 18 players) ?

Aye. I agree. Don't make the boss easier (in fact keep it hard but make it so there are to be more tactics than just brute force as someone said earlier).

By awarding civilization/honor points, one can choose the reward they can get using those points. Also, it allows the devs to make use of this system they implemented a long time ago (but never seemed to get working. :p ) and keep adding new things to buy every couple of weeks.

Though, for the person who DOES get the loot, no honor points seems too harsh. :p Maybe a lot less civilization/honor points. He/she still helped take down the boss so some honor should be awarded. ^^

Less is reasonable, my first thought was just that. Exact numbers are just a matter of balance :)
