Basically for me, it boils down to do you want open source free ryzom and xaviers company or do you want a proper company to buy ryzom.
IF you had posted such poll I wouldn't have mind participating to it.

The one you created on the other hand is far from the actual question you wanted to be answered here. The question of Ryzom being a free software or not is a valid one, but it's far different from what the Project is: a last resort.

In this regard, I do prefer a free Ryzom than nothing.

As for the WDM allusion: you do realise that Bush's admin used the very same argumentation as you to pretend there was WDM? "We know they exist", "You don't see them but they are there!", "Trust us, we know what we are doing", "We ARE the ONLY OFFICIAL source", "nothing prove they don't exist", ect.. That's precisely what you are doing:

NAME ME ANOTHER BYER THAN RYZOM.ORG today, can you? Nope you can't and that's what I'm trying to explain here.. there is nothing to do with a conspiracy theory or a fukin Elvis. Lol, the funny thing is that I remember seeing many US citizens started to follow News on the BBC to get proper and accurate information before the war. :p

Anyway, I mentioned the BBC only because that's an English source, know by most of the english speaking population, there are other news, magazines who already are talking about this project, in France.

As for this project getting more support from non-players, it has 2 of the former "creators" of Ryzom in it, some named Nevrax developers.. I dunno for you but this sound closer enough for me as a "last resort project". To tell the truth, they also do not pretend to compete fully against a real buyer.. but at last they offer an alternative to a possible end of this game: that's all I'm asking. ;)

Last but not least: Either you trust Nevrax and you should know for sure that if Ryzom.org was a fake, an official news would have been posted.. or at last a "warning". Or you don't and you should also stop trusting Nevrax when they say that some "investors and individuals" are interested. Either way: no matter what and how you turn it around, Ryzom.org is the only known investor...

Hence, today sunday 03 December 2006, this is them or nothing. Now, if some prefer no to face this fact, it's their choice, not mine.

PS: someone was talking to ryzom.org as "your site", "look what you've done", ect.. I must tell here that I am not a member of this website, the only relationship I have with them is a donetion pladge I've made... like any other Ryzom players who did.

You know, you're making up stuff here, what you say is written nowhere in any way in that post, which by the way is from BEFORE the project went public and official, before they contacted nevrax.

*sigh* you dont seem to get it. There are other options. But its not _our_ decision, so we dont "need to know" legally. You just seem to prefer not to face _that_ fact.

To be fully honest, Ryzom.org ppl mentionned that 2 other actors were in the line for buying Ryzom.

So, all in all we got 2 unknown investors, 1 known (sources)... I've always preferred clarity over shadow so until these 2 investor publicly details their offers, my vote goes for the only one I know atm. :p

PS: and sorry for the politics.. I never asked for this comparision.

I apologise if I phrased this badly what I meant was that if they are looking into the legalities of they way information was obtained to enable them to mail players asking for support for this project, that implies to me they may well not be above board.

Was more like there "might be at least 2 other potential buyers" or something like that, no?

Well, personally, I don't really think getting mail from Xavier is evil or something, lol. Did you get any mail? If not, then it's not your problem who he sent an e-mail to (in which he was just asking for an opinion on the project from some people before making it public).

Trust me I do get it : you are able to weight your decisions without all the informations in your hands, while I don't.

The sole detailed and reliable "next step" information at our disposal being : a full disclosure, the rizom project or an unknown plan with an unknown company(ies)... these are the 3 solutions known at 100%.

Under such cirumstances, I chose the Ryzom project, you don't... simple.

###########EDIT ###########

True Kaetemi.. I should have spoken of "... at last 2 unknown competitors... ".

Oh and I never received that mail either..

So all you have said before is now completely tainted, you withhold information to suit your agument.
