I've approached Nevrax several times on the idea of turning Ryzom into a properly produced tabletop game.
They could have used the extra income I'm sure :/
I would do it as a fan project but this is what I do, for money, and it's a bad idea usually to sell yourself short.

No! No! No!
Stealing my details from Nevrax is not something I'd call trustworthy.
Also think about it for a moment.
How do they pay for the servers?
How do they pay for the developers?
How do they pay for the support staff?
This is not a simple piece of software, the Debian Project idea isn't going to work. Someone has to be in control.
10 Euros a month isn't going to cut it for all the costs alone.
I love you guys, but I wouldn't trust any of you, or myself, to make all the right decisions for Ryzom.
An MMO is a business, not jsut a simple piece of software to upkeep.
I'm sorry, but this reeks. I have a hard time trusting a man who stole our contact details. Who knows what else he may have stolen during his ime with Nevrax.

Like releasing an erroneous core book along with 2 others and various campaign settings and then half a year later releasing the very same books under the version number 3.5 where you rectify all that went wrong before, and publish more worthless books for the sake of the franchise? That's millions for the taking!
Oh, properly?

I said properly
And hey, one patch every few years compares favourably with computer games

I would like clarification of whether my credit card details etc have been taken in this theft. If so according to the law I believe has this person been reported to the police?
I dont fancy having my details handed out en-masse to scammers and anyone who feels like dropping me a begging e-mail. When I gave you my details it was under the understanding they would be kept private (as the law goes) and I am concerned nevrax have not kept it that way

definitly not sure about that, but..imo.. i think its time for Nevrax for an official news about it. not answers i understand you cant give ( i'm french and i have a basic understanding how a receivership work over there ), but at least to clarify this nebulous post, as it worries players more than it give them hope about their favorite game.
my 2cents...

If they have been I'm sure we'll be notified.
I still think our little thief should be prosectued since he has obviously stolen our contact details at least.
