Hmmm, I do believe I was MIA during that time so I missed out on a couple of OP battles, so I can't say how they took it...but I believe with the help of allies? If so, then I'm sure many guilds would feel strong to take an OP when they have their allies helping them. Hence, why there are alliances between guilds.

Then surely their allies would have belive that they were 'strong enough' to take hold of the OP as opposed to other members of an alliance??

This is not a faction issue. A guild should be able to make a decision without catching 8 pages of grief, speculation and attacks for making a decision that benefits them.

If they were to accept the challenge then bring in an army of allies, or if they were to claim to be neutral when they are clearly not then they should be flamed.

And thats the heart of the matter isnt it? GoJ are a teeny little guild with a big op, and not enough strength to defend it despite chugging 18 stacks of q200 cats a day for quite some time now...

And people complain its not enough GvG. but whenever an attempt is made for GvG instead of FvF I guess people just dont have the guts.

It's PvPs fault?

To put this simply: they are our friends and allies and if they desire our help, we will be more than glad to help. ^_^ United, we are strong. ~.^

Glad to know you are final arbiter of who should and should not be flamed :)

lol - I wondered how long it would take for someone to request a gvg, and be refused.

there have been talks on numerous occasions about ootn declaring on various enemies (ic) in a gvg fashion, but we never bothered as we didnt believe anyone would actually accept.

You can talk about honour and fairplay all day long, but at the end of the day if you own something worth owning, why would you increase the liklihood of losing it? Theres no incentive.

I personally think that GoJ should accept the gvg, on the proviso that xera and his friends must accept a gvg with ootn on any outposts they may own following the confrontation :)

I'm curious, is this a start of a movement to make all outpost wars "strictly" Guild(singular) vs Guild (singular)?

Seems if that is the case, we'd want to try a little harder to get the devs to change the mechanics so it'd just work that way. It'd be a lot simpler and cleaner. We'd also see huge guilds form, and small or solo guilds leaving.

Is that your ultimate aim here?
