I think one glaring omission from this discussion is the large number of times the Kami declare on an outpost and don't show up to fight. I don't mean "showing up and getting whooped" or "showing up in insufficient numbers", I mean "not a single homin comes to battle".
If the Kami are going to complain about the Karavan having too many outposts, then it would behoove them to actually try to take some if for no other reason than to support their argument.
If the disparity in numbers between the Kami and Karavan are as bad as most of you say, they I don't think the outpost ownership is imbalanced to begin with. If Karavan are the dominant side, they should have most of the outposts. It doesn't make sense to 'balance' the outposts 50/50 and have the Kami swimming in cats while half of the Karavan are left high and dry.

We were told we (the players) could influence the storyline so unless things change come spires Kara will take the world and the war will be over and we can all go back to the way things were before Ep2....

(I dont believe I have allowed myself to be drawn back into this)
Jyudas is wrong, again.
The Karavaneers are not the aggressive ones.
We just want peace, and to be able to hold the outposts we have fought for. I dont think there is a karavan guild that holds more than one (I might be wrong, but I doubt it). If the kamis would hold to the same standard, there would be no more conflict.
It is the Kami death-cultist that are the griefers, the children, the ones who declare battles only to cause confusion and mischief.
Thus it has always been, since the beginning of the game, and thus it apparently always shall be. Something about the Kami ethos attracts people with flawed personalities. Oh, not all of the kamis are bad people
not even most
but too many.

Now dont get me wrong, you can have a ego and still be a nice guy to people.
Arrogance isnt always connected with ego.
I would be nothing without my friends and my family.
That goes ingame, and out of game.
Even the strongest is nothing without his friends/family/followers etc.
I will never look down at someone no matter how much better then the guy i am, everyone is good at something, everyone is the best of something.
Sometime you will meet the person in HIS expertise, and then you will need his help.
Even at the top, a person must always help those that arent AS fortune, or AS good get better and get higher up.
Because, when someone then actually gets better then you.
He will remember what you did, and pay you back by helping you.
So even though i say im the top of my class, i am so because of those that helped me, dont get the impression that i am arrogant, i just have a huge ego and hate to loose
(therefor i try being good enough to avoid it no matter what).

Dang and there was me thinking this thread would get derailed by the ego comments and we wouldn't be subjected to another 10 page argument going over old ground *sigh*

IC: (Since I'm asuming that was - my earlier comments were OOC though, I think it's a fascinating problem and exercise in decoding social trends)
Both sides are crazy, but the Karavan are definately the ones on the expansionist warpath. Well, I say Karavan, but that _really_ means 'The Matis'. Old habits die hard eh?

to start with : why do you spam this topic with your "ego" when your char name is LITTLEtiger (what's written in your sig) it doesnt fit does it
secondly : start a new thread to boast about yourself ....and if you were top of the class as you say, you'll have no problem in understanding this maths exercice :
title of thread : Vicious Cycle ? OP concern +
boasting one's ego =
Off topic
