If you all want to be so upset because "oh noes, I don't get to use XP crystals unless I PvP or buy them off someone who does!" then maybe this isn't the game for you.
Crystals can also be gotten freely. But apparently even that is not enough for some people.

As for neutral teleports, I really don't care. I don't feel limited - I can still easily access the Prime Roots and three out of four 250 zones. The only inconvenience is walking to Min-Cho or Avendale - but we still have Dyron, and Natae is right next to Yrkanis.

vguerin wrote:I keep hearing that you (others in Samsara say the same as well as act different IG than in posting) are a non-PvPer and/or neutral, but see you at every attack against certain Karavan alliance outposts which I attend to defend. You can sit in the forums all day and preach about how this game is not chess, checkers etc., but your actions in this game make your stance hypocritical. Short of not doing what you proclaim, you cannot help that others will also use analogies to compare things to relate to IG mechanics.
Friends, alliances and RP for payment.
Do we end up helping _retake_ outposts from Karavan fighters often? Yes. Do I necessarily enjoy it? No, but it's a lot easier now we don't have to stress over our own outpost.

I am not against all PvP, I am against content dependent upon PvP and effectively nonconsensual PvP. If that hasn't come across, you haven't been listening.
vguerin wrote:You ARE a PvPer and YOU attack folks... Maybe you do not "gank" (a term you toss around to mean PvP), but being a PvPer you cannot fault other PvPers from doing what you do when it's convenient to you. The same way you (try to) justify yourself as a mercenary (whether you got paid or benefit other ways from helping others), others can justify their actions (they may be RPing an outlaw/bandit/rogue). Because their method of play and/or RP does not fit yours, does not make theirs any less a needed role to play.
You're not getting this whole 'non impositional' thing are you?

So tell me, where will I get my supreme mats or my catalyzers or my outpost materials in R2 ? So if a PvE'er is an achiever and would like to make the best gear he can, well R2 won't give him any of this.
There are five places for each and every type of supreme mat that are in non-PvP zones, including 4 250 zones. The only thing a pure non-PvP player is missing is a lvl 150 zone. I can't understand how supreme mats are linked to PvP....

IIRC, catalyzers are slated to be handed out to people for participating in Ring scenarios. Don't want to outpost PvP? Make a rescue the yubo quest and get rewarded cats to take back to the mainland.

Outpost mats are hard for anyone to get. They are produced slowly and only one type per OP. That means everyone has to trade for them, even the PvPers. Most people will trade them for other things besides other OP mats. Get bartering. :)

You missed the part where i said in brackets that I wasn't complaining since I didn't use them. :) What I was trying to say is that if you don't enjoy PvP, some things, like Outposts, and what they bring, you'll only be able to enjoy in a "proxy" way. But hey, I don't care that much, was kinda making myself the devil's advocate.

*g* Okay let's just stop these irrational discussions.

About the being ganked vs PvP

If i go dig in PR I choose to accept the risk to get agressed....So what ?
So if i do a trek with some noobs i also choose for this ...(Does this mean I enjoy being ganked if I allready have the Mobs or my sources to watch out for ...or my bunch of noobs?)
To all that have fun in pvp :Is it hard to see that when u go dig u are not feeling for a pvp?If I Do a trek ,u think I come here to go for a Pvp fight or would I have other things at my mind?
This is all so simple ...It is just all about ethics and morality.

Personally PR is indeed a good place to hold a nice pvp fight...If u both feel like it ,in that case u are sure u will both enjoy it .If u can't Pvp with each others permission accept the fact u are ruining someones playing expierience. We all have now the opportunity to choose for Pvp or not in the outpostbattles .And admitt..what is more fun as an organized battle that gives at least excitement...Isn't it much more fun as killing a defenseless digger(imagine the girl or guys frustration if he is digging alone and no one around to heal him 2 km away from his/her TP just on that great spot he just found ,and what if that person is neutral and just had a run but isn't able to TP and just needed that one supreme zun or kitin larva for his amps....Wouldn't u start hating Pvp and consider actions like these just as harrasement and just plain provocation?Come on ...If u like to prove who has the 'biggest' just make it sure u both have fun )
So accepting the risk by being killed and doing it because it is allowed doesn't justify it ...It just makes your PvP a selfish act.

About being Neutral:
If i go fight in an OP war for the Karavan ,and two months later in a Kami war..Am i not neutral anymore?Mayb i have other reasons to join this battle and ever tought about the possibility it was just by convience I ended up at one of those sides?
Oh and because I usually don't like PvP does this mean I am not allowed to take part in a battle and have some fun ?Does that make me a hypocrite?

Geeesh I don't know ...but that sounds more a way of saying :Whatever u say is b*llsh*t and I don't respect your opinion ,because u only have one chance of choosing how u play...This sounds more like a static way of playing .U know i chose this game and bought it when there was no PvP available ,but as an older player I don't expect u all to stick playing without Pvp...Half the people like it the other half doesn't like it ...well I hope u all enjoy the new content but use at least your morality and keep it fun for everybody.
Stop critisizing each other over why u should or shouldn't Pvp.
These never ending discussions lead to nothing at all ..except sooner or later a new 'flaming-board'.

Feel free to kill this neutral if u see him in an OP battle ...that day he chose to die with his honor (or what's left).
If u see her Dig In PR let her dig and feel free to have a nice chat :)
I still love u all

So Rupsito to answer the question on this thread;
Yes it has a PvP environment and it has pretty good grounds to roleplay ...And u have opportunities enough to go fight PvE :)
But as u can see a lot of our battles are held on the posting boards :D (It's part of the RP here :D )
Nevertheless don't get scared ; we are ingame actually a very funny bunch and u will surely find enough in the game to satisfy your needs...
Why don't u see for yourself ;) enjoy this game and i hope u find what u are looking for :)
