I still think this discussion in pointless. If you dont want to consent to the PvP in Umbra/Nexus, go dig somewhere else. Not like it's the only place to dig... if you really want to dig there, suck it up and accept that you might get killed. I haven't PvPed in a long time, yet I still dig in the PvP zone. If I get killed down there, well, tough luck, but I knew it could happen.

This whole thread was ment for two things, state what happened to inform others so they can be carefull, and inform rundll of his sweet revenge to come, if anything this thread should of been a few posts long not getting into the age old debate of shall we pvp or not.
Now everyone lets close down ryzom forum (the little X in the top right hand corner of your screen)

With respect, that's not what the PvP discussion is about at heart. It's not 'PvP or not' it's 'respect other people' or not. PvP is just an enabler for disrespect and selfishness.

Run: sure, go for it. Frankly the only time I _ever_ think someone is speaking "for their Guild" is when its a HO/Guild Leader doing a post. But some people in previous threads needed it spelling out that I'm not even an officer, I'm just a grunt with a big mouth

With regards to hiring:

The Samsara either as a guild or as individuals _can_ turn down a contract we don't want to do. As a guild we would usually turn down any contract involving attacking an ally or violating a previous contract. As individuals when a contract is agreed, the details are posted internally. People who don't want to take part just dont show up. (Some of you may remember a few of our members hanging around an OP battle chatting while not taking part. None of our members are _required_ to take part in any contract, even if the guild accepts it.).

And frankly, I wouldnt accept contracts to gank diggers in PR. I'd take bodyguard contracts, but it would be expensive cos it takes me ages to get to most of the dig spots due to stupid neutral TP rules. And someone blew up my mount.

Just because its been such a long time since I've been able to... I disagree with you Jyudas! (weee, feels good!)
But really, comparing PvP to RL is a tad silly. It isn't a crime to kill people in PvP zones...
a) because -strangely- PvP zones are for PvPing in. :O *gobsmack*
b) it does tell you so! (you know what your getting in to)
& c) theres other non-PvP zones, you have the choice!
