I wanted to edit post #30 but kinda left it too long to go back.
*I used to play next to my sister over a year ago we both knew each others account details, does that make me a rule breaker?
*People that set up accounts for themselves and their children to use.. are they breaking the rules?
If you trust someone enough to implicity say yes 100% trust them then is this really rule-breaking?
Now I know some of you are probably thinking "Yeah but who would trust those 3?". Well they would.
If something like this happened to me I wouldn't get angry at my sister and then realise it was all my fault screaming "How could I have let my sister know my password?". I would be doing the exact same thing and asking the devs how this happened because I implicitly trust my sister.
To me this rule is a way for game developers for any mmo to cover themselves. When situations like this happen they can then choose to either help out, or they can showing players the CoC and say "We told you so!". I think we are lucky because our devs appear to be helping.
Just some thoughts...

Helomax, this is not a matter to taunt them over, you laugthing at them pus you in the same league as the thief.
raven41/Redslayer:
I do not post my username specificly becasue people like yourself (Understandably) mi-read what i am saying on forums, and do not want my charecter/guild or friendships disrupted, the people i am close to know who i am.
I did not say that what the thief done was ok, far from it i condem it whole hartedly.
BUT, you have to take measures to secure your items, it is the unfortunat fact of life, even in a game.
As i said, i am sorry to those affected, and will do what i can to help, but the best thign that can happen is for people to lern from it.
p.s.
My partner knows my password. i dont mean to say its wrong to give it to people you trust, but you have to accept responsability for your things

I don't understand why it should be Nevrax's responsibilty to see who did what with the account and try to fix it. The CoC forbids account sharing so they don't have to deal with exactly this situation.
I do think it was low to do what was done. But if it was retribution for some crime against them in the first place, we can't really point fingers. I think it's a safe assumption most of us are missing a lot of information so it's not our place to say who's right and who's been wronged.

Yes, but ive never been very good at penning what i mean, and i always have a strong opinion on things that normaly people take offencivly.
People are welcome to P.M me and request my identity,
and i am sure it will be found out sooner or later (my spelling alone isa givaway for the people who know me, hehe) and then i will adjust my forum attitude to maintain how i want to be viewd ingame, wich unfortunatly would proberly mean not speaking my mind
and yes, sorry for oftopic, feel free to pm me if ya wish

"Life is like a box of chocolates".... bah wrong quote
"Life isn't always black and white but a vast array of colour".... meh it'll do.
I tend to think with anything like this some rules are hard and fast yet others may allow for a tiny bit of deviation... Such as, at the Pub I work at the rules state "I cannot have free drinks and I cannot have free food". Yet out of the 15 or so beers i have bought in there how many have i paid for? 2 is the answer. I'm sure you can also think of suitable examples.
Ok so I might be going a little offtopic here but most people know that some rules can be more than black and white, they are an array of colour.
Now I dont know who exactly devised the CoC but I bet the devs have quite alot of power over it and if they wanna do something differently they possibly can (especially if it means helping a player out, rather than having a negative effect on us as players).

Completely agree

The actions of individuals sum up to create the overall feel of the community.
