The Samsara wanted to do something nice, to give away an outpost. If I remember correctly the other times a guild have done that, nobody tried to grab it for themselves. OV just took a nice gesture and slapped the giver hard across the face.

But the KA side is so big that the underdogs are left with only 2 choices:

well yeah i do understand your point - but the kamis arent the underdogs. Neither are they outnumbered. The karavan were outnumbered at the AP fight the other day. So its clear that when they get organised they can really do something.

Furtherly - i think the talk about GvG is a bit ridiculous - i dont know a single guild that took their OPs from the NPC on their lonesome. Its only natural that people will gain support from the friends and allies they have in game. The main problem is that this is where the cross over occurs - as people get on with lots of people from diff factions/guilds/groups/.

going back to sinis post - basically i guess things like this will never be resolved - just pick your side (or choose not to) and we can see what happens

It is far more diverse than that, it just ends up being those two in the end, mostly because people are to lasy (IMHO) to tell homins apart. If you (plural) think all there is, is two sides you (plural) haven't spoken to many homins and know where they stand. Atys are more than black and white, there are a great many shade of grey (and colours ), it is what makes Atys breath and evolve.

It's this attitude of "if it can be done within the mechanics, it must be the right thing to do so we're going to do it and we don't care how anyone else feels about it" that's causing a lot of the hostility and childishness, I think.

We could have just given it to one of our allies in secret, got them a nice threshold of 24 and moved on. But that's not our style, it doesn't go with our roleplay.
