Hmm, that would be really cool...because it'd play out the "rebuilding our civilizations" thing...jamela wrote:Your post, Phradok, makes me think of things I have heard about SWG, with unrestricted building permits. I am thinking along the lines of developing the existing outpost sites, such as Rising Border Post, with no ownership attached. Re: Dev Suggestion: Alternative to PvP
Erk, sorry Jam, but I am trying really hard not to read this as "non PvPers dont need good gear like PvPers do, and PvPers shouldn't need to spend as much time grinding cos then they wouldn't be able to get back to their all important PvP" I know you probably didn't mean it that way, so please don't think I am flaming... I just want a bit more equal oppertunities for non-PvPersjamela wrote:How much do you really want that stuff, honestly? Competitive play demands the best possible, because it's all about the win, not so much about how you do anything.
Agreed, _different_ (but of roughly equal value) content available to Non-PvP only crowds would be even more interesting than an even distribution of whats already in. Personally having all the Weapon mats in PvP OPs, and tool/pick mats in non-PvP ones makes a bit of sense to me.jamela wrote: Sounds like a nice way to acquire those goods. The imbalance is that you probably don't have access to anything that they don't.

Re: Dev Suggestion: Alternative to PvP
[Yeah and members of a nearby tribe would start to move into the town. And if the little outpost got big enough maybe they would bulid a teleporter that people with a high fame with that tribe could use. And there would be tribe lore masters who would teach you secret craft plans and magics only known to the tribe. Long live the tribes!]jamela wrote:Anyone allowed to contribute and develop the site until it becomes a fluorishing town, say, even if it serves no benefit to a player. Even if it meant just throwing a bundle of dappers to a NPC and the building quality then improved overnight.

Z, the best stuff that you're talking about is only better 1 time in 20, isn't it? Is that worth so much? Oh damn, I forgot that you have magickal ways to fix random stuff

That's O.K., I'm good at playing a "hick from the sticks". Y'all drive on whatever side of the "road" you want, I'll take my half out of the middle!
*sits down next to Acridel* I'll share my chocolate and graham crackers if you'll share your marshmallows....

... though maybe I _should_ take up crafting...
(Seriously though, the vamp/crit weapon mats and the no credit/instant amp mats are very nice. Plus they can use excep/sup mats from _any_ land all in one recipe).
