I was looking at it as more of a service to the community. Giving the non-Aen users a goal, some sort of self driven content since the devs are not going to be adding any anytime soon. Start working those melee, heal and afflic lvls boys and girls.
As for the OP battles. I have no idea why you are so upset. The Banner of War had been available to anyone who was willing to attack it for a good 10 hrs. First come first serverd.
Our goal was to let the OP's change hands as fast as possible to hands that we knew that would appreciate and make sure the Kami community would get the most out of the OP. Our Zo-kian choice was not debatable. Had the oringal plan gone through I'm sure that the Kami's could have offered Zorvax a bait and switch on a 150, or 200 OP. But it was our intention that he get the OP since his guild is the main Kami Zorai n00bie helper guild. Lost Valley was debatable and was to hopefully go to a Kami guild that was fast enough to declare on it. Once that deal fell through there were some that felt that the OP was now fair game to any and all who wanted it. Vorkoo was on his way to declare but Morgy kept fearing the lumpers he was eating on the way to the OP. And as we've all learned. "When you fear, you always need to point to the east and run." So you can thank Morgy for the OP staying in homin's hands.
Snake, we've got along in the past. Been friendly to each other, etc. Let me just break it down simple here for ya in a few bullet points.
1.) We set up Zorvax with the Zo-kian OP. We offer Lost Valley Stronghold OP to several Kami guilds we feel that would best serve the community. AP, Riders on the Storm, Twilight Whispers. Those also happen to be guilds we were familiar with in the past and seemed fit to help keep Zora popuatled.
2.) Bri does a post entitled "Infinity has come to an end...."
Pretty clear here. Anything Infinity is fair game. We are moving on, removing ourselves from the game. Pretty obivous that includes OP's.
3.) The OP battles don't go as planned. We're not too pleased. Want to know why? Means we have to log into Ryzom countless more times to get this settled. To show we are serious all drills are removed. This isn't fun and games while we stack crystals in the GH.
4.) As far as we are concerned, anyone who declares is getting the OP. The tooth fairy could have declared for all we care. The outcome would have been the same. Any defender was going to get banned. Default gaurds were used in both OP's. Both OP's will now be switching hands. Definitely not our first choice on guilds but the commmunity will have to deal with that now if they are not happy with the caretakers of the Void OP's.
Any guild, Karavan, Kami or Neutral had an equal opportunity at those OP's. We are moving on and not willing to dilly dally for people to get their act together. I can't stress this enough: We are moving on, not waiting for the Fyros gates to be refueled one last time. Every time we log in we think it's the last time to close out any lose ends. The lose ends kept popping up and we did what needed to be done to fix it. Anyone who declared was going to get those OP's. This was any guilds chance at one or two lvl 250 OP's.
I hope that clears up where we are coming from.
