About the xp-crystals...

I do not really like the idea, as its a faster way to go up, and a faster way to lose interest, like others have said before me. But I must agree that they are also almost needed with the higher levels.
Like Oudknoei said, the higher branches of harvesting and crafting are really a grind, and I really really am impressed by everybody who ever made a q250 skill in crafting.

Even with the xp-crystals I won't even make that, as I think it is too boring to do...

Doesn't change my point. Progression is slower as you get higher. Specifically denying xp crystals at the highest level (as was suggested) is totally backwards IMO

wouldn't mind at all if they disappeared never to return. As previously stated the most likely reason we have them in such numbers is to allow new homins to powerlevel and take part in op/faction events.

Don't think thats so great really, but as i was saying somewhere else its down to personal choice how u use them. There is so much more to Ryzom than just these 'end game' activities, hell lots of us have been here a very long time and found plenty to do.. the danger for new players is they get rushed through this wonderful world with hardly time to take a breath and experience anything :(

I use crystals to grind more... I grind more to use more crystals... I do more crystals to...

Hi, my name is Raku, I am a crystal user.
*hi, Raku*

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. You people hanging out next to the FH stables begging for crystals... you know who you are!
Dude you got some? I need q200, none of that q50 stuff, that doesn't do it for me anymore!

*dream sequence ends, camera fades to reality*

I've been doing trades with peeps, crystals for crystals, crystals for OP mats, crystals for gear, OP mats for crystals, crystals to sweeten alliances negotiations. Most of our crystal production goes to people outside my guild. Its pretty fitting as we owe a lot to the community for their support and assistance.

Have we become a super powerful and elitist guild corrupted by our own sense of self-worth and greed? Nope. Have people abandoned their guild to join us? Nope. Do our members find themselves at L250 all the sudden with nothing left to do? No... well... not L250 anyway... maybe a few...

There has been some negativity. EP2 and outposts and crystals more or less killed the HOPE Alliance. Neutrals found themselves on the outside of content and those who wished to fight for what they believed rightfully theirs (a chance to partake in the content they were provided) found themselves vilified.

It has been tough to get back into the grind. Crystals seem to take the edge off the return to normalcy in the post-EP2 days on Atys. Sure, we had an invasion and speed-dating... I think the crystals are wearing off, excuse me a moment...

Life is changing on Atys

My guild does not own an OP and I don’t see the possibility of us acquiring one in the near future. Therefore I only have one option, to buy these crystals for low level members. I have manage to maintain good relations with a q50 OP and I’m buying crystals from them, but the downfall is that once my members reach level 50 they will have no more use for these crystals. I can’t buy crystals all the time; I’m paying 500k for ten stacks of 999. (I wonder if that is too much to pay? I had offered 300k for 10stacks) I would imagine that q100 would be dbl the price and lets not even mention q250; that will leave a hole in my pocket. This has left me wondering if what I am doing is wrong.

Assuming Your still intrested, Talk to Haldir Or Jelathnia. Im sure you can reach a more agreeable price. I think that is a bit outragous for ql50's.

Oh my that's a high price. Please Trixie, gimme a yell IG. I'm sure we can work out something much more viable for you that is nowhere near as expensive.

Paying that much would ruin the fun of crystals for me.

The person I dealt with is a good friend and I don’t think he is trying to get over on me. I think he just has no idea what to sell them for. But definitely will give you girls a shout. I have no intentions to keep paying such a high price for crystals, especially ones that I can’t even use. If a deal can be made with anyone that is willing I’m game.
