I think this should be left as is. If people need/want support, they should get it by their own means, and not just put up a public post letting everyone know where and when a battle will occur.
Did Hitler broadcast to the world he was invading Poland? Did the allies make TV specials about the planned landing in Normandy? Nope. Same thing here, war is war and often times plans are best kept secret.
My 2 dappers.

I dunno... I think there are enough carpet-baggers already, posting it would only make it worse.
We have already seen battles where others who supposedly weren't invited attended and dragged things out. A list would only make this worse. I have been to assaults with both honorable and less than honorable combatants, the "less than" group were typically interlopers that just wanted to PvP which isn't the real conflict normally happens (Despite what the anti-PvPers state).

Is the kicking out of interlopers being used? Does it work? Can they rejoin or otherwise still cause trouble? I have no personal knowledge of this mechanism.
You do have a point. Perhaps war declaration info should only be listed if the challenging guild asks for it to be listed ... or the defending guild? Or is that idea flawed as well?
Maybe I should just drop this can of worms?

Worms are happiest when they're on soil

It all depends whether you can win the popularity contest in-game or on the forums. Judging by recent posts, it's not surprising most people like to keep things hushed up here. I'm sure any attackers or defenders will make a post if they need to. It's up to you if you want to do it, but I'd be interested in a log of past battles - see how often guild x is attacking guild y (or more). Pretty difficult to keep track of with potentially 28 battles every 48 hours. I know our alliance will be keeping a log though, all will be accountable...

Just wondering who has Greslin and Egiros mats, for the new picks? Since the patch today fixed the crafting, it would be quite cool to get my hands on some of these mats. Any offers can be made to Nillian either in-game or via a PM. I want an OP pick !!
