I know this is your way of making a statement sbout the direction the game is going. Yet when I see this avatar I am more likely to skip those posts, because of the avatar.
It makes me think well these ppl really dont have anything worth reading, because they have there defenses up, and no matter what I say or anyone else has to say they will not listen with discernment.
There are other way of getting your point across without belittling ppl because they like the changes, and by revoicing over and over you dont like the changes.
I am not saying I like the direction the game is going. It is not what the had promised us at the beginning of this game. The direction they are going is not what they said they would do, in other words. I dont agree with ganking, whether it be pvp, fvf, or other ways of playing.
I will not put up a protest banner, because I have let my oppinion be know!
Promises are promises!! Dont make them if you arent going to keep them!!

Ariwen,
(Hopefully you'll read just a few more avatared posts)
I understand your sentiment but, like anything else in life, unless a problem is hard to ignore, it is often ignored. This is a way to make things a bit harder to ignore.
Here in the US, many drive around with yellow ribbons indicating their support for our troops. I don't assume that everything they would say aloud would be a barrage of pro-military talk.

I'd like to see an option to hide people's posts on the forum by avatar, lol

I'd like to see an option to electrocute forum posters via a red button on my keyboard. I suspect we'll both be disappointed though.
Besides, exposure to other points of view is stimulating. (Just not electrically).

I will ask a simple question. I'm french so i didn't read all the threads which pull this new avatar up. So my question: What does exactly mean this avatar, or against what does it protest? Thanks for your answers, I would knoxw before to choose to use the avatar or not. Escuse my english
A french player who question himself about Ryzom future's.

For me, it is an indication that I have a cancelled subscription to send a message of how sad I am about the game's new direction and currently shown roadmap. I see Ryzom becoming another Warcraft, and I already have a subscription over there for that kind of play.
I may be waaaaay wrong and something truly new and non-battle-each-other with a deep story will come along. In that case, I will renew my subscription.

Well I have to say you disappoint me there. So you would stereotype people by the avatar they choose? You're doing exactly the same thing (not listen with discerment) if you do that.
Personally, I don't like the way the game is going, hence my avatar. However, I will listen to any intelligent, reasoned argument in favour of PvP and draw my conclusions from there. I would hope that others would do the saame for any intelligent, reasoned argument against PvP. What I refuse to listen to are the no-brain "it's here - get over it" type of comment.
I have been avoiding posting as often on the forum, precisely because I DON'T want to get sucked into the endless cycle of arguments raging here.

Agreed, they shouldn't break promises. The problem there, however, is they didn't say no PvP. Nevrax have always intended to introduce some element of PvP as far as I am aware. After all, they always said we'd have to fight for Outposts. What they didn't tell us is they would make the WHOLE PLANET PvP. Not a broken promise but an omission which is just as bad!!
I don't think Nevrax have broken any actual promise with PvP, just not told us how MUCH we would get. They have broken other promises so far though. Such as the content of outposts. Such as where are the trainers??

to be honest, y'all icons are confusing the heck outta me
Makes me realize how much I relied on the avatar icon when reading forum posts.
