Why just not wait and see ... maybe just maybe you could get the surprise of your life :)

Maybe it is something like this......
I was thinking the homins would all band together to fight some great evil. The kitins, have they been defeated? How can any people defeat a greater evil when now they seem just to run around and kill each other. Was the events of the last year the defeat of the kitins? If it was all i can say is..man that was weak :( Now Ryzom seems that it is just turning into a clone of all the other mmorps out there. OH Boy...now we have WoW with better graphics. We have come to realize that neverax is happy to replace all the people that stayed through the drought of 2005....we have figured out we are no longer wanted here so we move on to the next game....

Funny thing is, this is being compared to a mini Patch 1 by some, i.e. increased numbers of people leaving soon after a patch, and Patch 1 actually improved gameplay!!

I missed the Patch 1 melt down but returned a month afterwards. Strange thing was no one was talking much about patch 1 and over all the game play had improved (anyone remember 'coffee break combat' before patch 1? Start combat, go get a coffee, come back and hope you'd killed it, otherwise just wait longer).

Now we have E2 and armageddon has come again (slightly less explosivly) and players are "leaving" again. But as some have said, Aelvana for one, give it a few weeks and the situation will be different. Maybe no one but gankers will bother with the E2 zone but as that never really happened much in PR I doubt it. More likely people will be busy building temples, killing kitin and organsing the enemy raids to disrupt the other religious fanatics. ATM people are like they just got a new fast car and they're driving round everywhere and getting upset if it gets dirty. Soon the car won't be so new.

Personally I haven't been ingame since E2 due to RL issues so I can't really comment on E2's value, but if I in-game was i'd like to think i'd wait a week before hitting the eject buitton!

I'm not happy that it's PvP based content either but thats for another thread.

So lets just repeat the behavior a half a dozen more times and we'll have the perfect game... just nobody will play it?

What is wrong with this scenario? from a business point what is the purpose of patching if you drive away your customers?

My position is one month then I'm off unless a miracle. Oddly enough I think it's great that the PvP people finally got something but the more I go to that “arena” more and more I feel this is so wrong, not this way! We all want new shiny's, whatever those shiny's may be that we are able to get with our honor points. But now I'm fed up of being put in the position of having to kill my friends over and over and over in some silly nuking fest, and got fed up of trying to dig just to get ganked over and over and over and over...

I really feel it's like “go in the arena, gank or be ganked else go stand in the corner shut up and no shiny's for you”

No more will I go and kill my friends, I've lost enough over this stupidness as it is.

I used to play Guild Wars but got fed up with the “heal me, heal me, heal me...you n00b!...rez me rez me”. It was great the SoR had none of that, thats why I stayed. But more and more I am seeing this now and the attitudes that comes with it.

Please don't get me wrong I'm not a hardcore anti PvP, but the whole way this has been designed is lacking judgment and is making many of us the poorer for it.

I'm gona try to log on as much as I used to, and do what I normally do, chat with friends etc The ones that are left.

I will take a vacation from this game, untill this event is over. Reason for this is that the current event doesn't seem to fit my playing style. I will visit sometimes to say hi, but don't play much. I thank You all the fun we had and good luck for You all.

Liliane
