Should we know ingame IDs of CSRs, GMs etc?

Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

The agreement (NDA) between Jolt and the CSR states exactly this :

**** contents of documents like these are not suitable for public forums**** Edited by Soulsnatcher

Nevrax is a client of Jolt, therefore CSR have no right to act negatively toward what could be considered as their "boss", even if the only benefit taken from volunteering is a free account (even as a player).

Playing free to SoR and being "elected" by Jolt to act as a CSR generates obviously an internal feeling of being an "elit"... As a CSR I was told many times by my SGM I had to remain "neutral" about the game, even as a player, and act positively to bring customers to Nevrax.

As a Jolt employee told me when I asked him about this : "but of course we love the game so much we have no reason to rant"... The fact is that for Jolt there are two categories of players : CSR, and "others", "others" being given the benefit of "communication", CSR being given the benefit of some "information".

When you've got the "to do list" of the dev team before your eyes, why should you ask and rant for a feature which you know will not be in the priority list before months ? You do as Nevrax do, you post to give an "advice", which states "would be nice, but....".

Ahh the bitterness of ex CSR :)

OK for the record, I am not in favour of the player IDs of CSR team members being available to anyone, the guys have a right to have a gaming experience free of griefing as much as anyone. Just my opinion.

With regards to posting - the CSR team do not post on the forums in their CSR guise (with the odd exception, like the technical forums). They are busy in game and in Klient helping people and we have a community management team to look after these forums. Their player IDs are different to this, they can and do post in their own free time.

Are they encouraged to post? No, it is up to them as it is a player ID. Are they encouraged not to post or to only post nice things? No. I know the idea of a group of people who only ever say nice things or are urged to support things appeals to some people but it just isn't the truth. Right from the off in these forums we have enouraged all forms of discussion and debate and everyone has a right to their own opinion.

Thanks for reading

And the efficiency of Jolt officials. Pfeww... 1:00 AM, post edited, immediate reply from a Jolt official, who asks to talk to me on the Klients ?

Please...I'm a player, i (now) pay to play, not to read lies or discuss on commercial subjects about a video game.

Thanks.

That pretty much sums it up, thanks mike. I'll go ahead and close the thread, everything important regarding this topic has already been said. ;)
