I accounted for that. It's still not enough for everyone to experience them fully...

yup, but that only means 24 will be held by the same guilds for a long long time and 4 will change hands every few days...

Don't forget the Nexus. ;)

Should be at least 1 for each region. I'm thinking the higher regions will get 2 outposts.
Will be interesting to see what outpost they picked.

I sort of counted that under PR.

Hmm, somebody miss their happy pills this morning? You're making a good example right now of what people don't want to see in the community in-game.

Anyways, I don't play to imagine the game I'd like. I want it to actually be coded in. Assuming that each patch would work out well has worked too well for this company.

Your arguments are assumptive and foolish. I actually like PvP when done well. I left Ryzom after patch 1 to play PvP in Warcraft, enjoyed it. That is however PvP done well, I've also played PvP in many other MMOs, most of which it was done poorly. For the often repeated example that these outposts remind me of, Notum Wars in AO and Outposts in Neocron. Both of which were filled with people just like you that veteran MMO players have seen millions of times. Claiming that PvP will save a game that continues to rapidly dwindle in players the more they implement it.
I still do not believe that you have to end up PvPing to enjoy outposts if you work everyhting out with your friends / enemies. Do you think ou have to wait for the words "Diplomatic Outpost" or some game mechanic that is yet to be designed to accomplish what you are looking for? Do you think the great majority just want to run around trying to take everyones outpost? NO.
You are a fool. Go read up all the release literature on outposts, they were great ideas that made a lot of people play this game. Go play Neocron or AO and see their outpost PvP, they were bad ideas that drove people away.

It doesn't take a majority of players to attack outposts daily. Outposts in other games are attacked as often as possible by a few griefers and gankers. It doesn't matter that they only represent .1% of a player base, that group is enough to ruin it for all when they're determined enough. I don't have to imagine it, I've seen it already.
Just as the PvP arguments address the few we call gankers or boasters, your (everyone who makes it)
and here you once again show yourself to blindly rant. I haven't been making that claim at all. My issue is that PvP works best in WoW and DaoC and worst in Shadowbane, Neocron, etc because of whether it is mandatory/essential or consentual/optional. I am 100% for consentual and non-essential PvP.

There are 3 crowds: those who don't like PvP at all, those who like consentual PvP that isn't required, and those who want to force the first two groups into non-consentual mandatory PvP like you. There has never been a highly successful game for the last group, and I'd rather Ryzom not go join that group.

What is so terribly offensive to people like you to know that other people have fun without PvP? Why should you get to Lord it over other guilds who want to focus on things other than PvP (RP guilds, small guilds of friends, etc)?

You need to chill out and agree to Nevrax that it is okay to not force everyone to pvp like you want to. You want people to get along? why not look in the mirror and start with yourself? People like you are trying to force those who don't enjoy PvP to submit to it.

By making Ryzom a game for PvPers AND Non-PvPers we could maybe just grow this game and make it appeal to a wider community rather than chopping it up by supporting narrow niche groups of players.

I am one of those who would like Ryzom to grow and became a for the non-PvPers and the consentual PvPers. I'm sorry that this opinion seems to incense and offend you so much, but you need to learn to accept the others who make up the Ryzom community.

You make me laugh, you do not know me at all and obviously did not read my post. I have never killed someone in PvP or participated in PvP in Ryzom in a full year of being subscribed.

I do see others points, I do not claim my point is right, I would just like to have a positive constructive conversation which is exactly what you avoided. I did not attack you nor anyone else, I wish everyone to contribute to a better end. And that is all.

If you or anyone else thinks whining will get you a good result, you are wrong. No two ways about that.

If you want to have a positive constructive conversation, lets do that here. Otherwise, if you would like to attack me some more for some reason and accuse me of being someone I am not, or someone you clearly have imagined, please do so in a PM.

Noin.

P.S. Ask the people that know me who I am before you go personally attacking me, and go read some of my posts too while you are at it.
