If the huge load of players that will come behave like you then (or are currently giving the impression of) ...... open PvP is exactly what Ryzom doesn't need.

I personally would rather see the game go down in history for want is was, than be remember as a sell out full of a load of ganking 7331 kiddies.

Money + this type of player verses Existing game + the current small player base?

Locce, I'm afraid you chose a bad subject, and you certainly chose the wrong way to get your point across. PvP is under much discussion at the moment, and you'd do well to check the state of those discussions before posting. The topic is quite heated, and proposing a new PvP-only server without being up-to-speed on the topic will do you no favours I'm afraid

Nevrax has already had to merge two servers, and has undergone a reorganization under the French equivalent of chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The PvP areas of the Arispotle server are rarely used, except during official or player run events. PvP rewards are non existant. The 'winner' in a PvP battle (or an RPK if it's an unprovoked attack) gets nothing for killing other players, unless you count the pleasure some people feel when they make another person upset, angry, or frustrated. You don't get to loot their inventory, you don't get xp, and the resources some people talk about controlling are only available rarely. Supreme mats replenish once every 2-7 days, or immediately after a server crash. Not exactly a great setup for PvP 'control of the resource' since no one really wants to fight over empty source nodes.

I don't see them ever considering opening a new, free for all PvP server, and because PvP in Ryzom is so restricted (no looting, no consequences to dying) has so few and insignificant rewards, I doubt it would be popular even among open-pvp fans.
