Yeah you are right, I do love the spontaneity of such things. And now that my event-thirst has been quenched with the PR Kami v Karavan event I am once again happy.helbreat wrote:some of the kittin tear events have been unplanned parts i think

Re: Tear of the Kitin
Homins, I bring you tidings from Marshal Sanantia,
"Greetings homins,
Last night Deamla, myself and a task force of brave homins helped us find a
piece of the amber in the Scorched Corridor. Bravely the homins escorted
us to the piece, and escorted Deamla back to Pyr with it.
However, I bring you worrying news about Deamla. While on the trip I got
seperated from the group; the homins noticed this but Deamla ordered they
moved forward without me. I nearly died in that canyon, this is not
like the Deamla I used to know - the bond of friendship we once had I would
liken to sistership. The code of the Marshals to not leave another behind
broken.
I managed to get back to Pyr to confront Deamla at the Kami Altar, she
blatently no longer cared for my well being, insisting escorting the piece
of amber back was the top priority. I explained my worries to the others
after Deamla left, before leaving soon after myself. My scouts tell me the
others were discussing this well after we left. I shall keep an eye on Deamla over the coming days.
The piece we located appears to be one of the last to be found. It seems
that with the pieces we have, and the two Wormbreath has, there is only the head piece left to uncover. We must get those two pieces from Wormy, but in the meantime there is a riddle we cannot understand on the map of clues relating to the whereabouts of the last piece:
The final piece for which ye seek.
That have shaken the roots and made us weak.
Look among a triad but don't take long.
One of three or three of one, search and find the proper one.
What is beautiful may yet hide evil.
Find the right one and you will reveal.
The last piece that some conceal. "
Homins, heed my words!

Re: Tear of the Kitin
What if the Tear of the Kitin will not destroy the kitin...but destroy us? Maybe it is a trap the kitin created for us.
The final piece for which ye seek.
That have shaken the roots and made us weak.
Maybe the Tear has caused Deamla's strange behavior.
What is beautiful may yet hide evil.
Amber is beautiful...

Re: Tear of the Kitin
I was thinking about that a while ago. Who could possibly have left these pieces scattered about if it was such a powerful weapon against the kitin? Why break it up when the Kitin threat has not ended? Seems to me that these pieces were split up for a reason and not by the Kitin. Has anyone thought to ask the Kami or the Karavan ambassadors about it? Or possibly the Guild of Elias, as they seem so knowledgeable? I agree that we should collect these pieces to stop them falling into the wrong hands but we should remember that even with the best of intentions behind them, they could be our hands too unless we tread carefully.

Yrk has 3 towers on the map, and each of the 3 towns nearby have 1 tower each. So evil in Yrk? Well Im going up the towers and around the towns. If you dont hear from me, please come looking! I may succumb to the desire to turn a big piece of amber into a massive jewelTidings wrote: The final piece for which ye seek.

There are 3 kitin hives, right? One in Underwood Woe, one in the Tunnel of Woe, and one in Desertstock?

Could be the goo areas, there are 3 areas with goo in the same land. And the goo is a result of something in the prime roots.
The triad gould be the primitives (frahar, cutes and gibbai).
Or maybe the 3 (inactive kami) teleporters?
Shaken and weak, could be a reference to the comming war. As it have, to some extent, weakened the bond between homins.
Beaty is in the eye of the beholder, so could be many things. But given the 'evil' I would guess it to be a person, creature, object or location (Ed.: doesn't that cover most things anyway?).
Anyway, I happend to pass by the Gibads with some supplies, as far as I could tell everything was fine there. But then I have no idea how to sense the amber pieces.

Re: Tear of the Kitin
Pffft, have some more thoughts already.
The Nexus, 3 portals, 3 tribes (I think). Not sure what the beauty is there, could be the land itself as it is a sight to behold, and a 'evil' as in dangerous place too.
P.S. Wasn't there some battle there over a source of some kind, it might be the evil...

Re: Tear of the Kitin
Hang on, isn't Hidden source and The great outback desert areas? In that case there are three different desert areas linked together (by portals).
And Virginia falls is a beatyful, but dangerous place.
And with 3 post in a row here, am I the holder of the amber?
