Players and community members often pull together to save things, Ryzom may not be in serious straits yet but those of us who love it could do our own little things to promote it in blogs, personal websites, forums and word of mouth.

Jus' sayin' :)

If I were rich, I'd strongly consider becoming an angel investor.

But I'm not so I suppose that's easy for me to say. :P

Get out there people, pimp SoR to your freinds!

As for nevrax being in "serious trouble" the truth is we don't know much, just a few lines from xaviar. Lets wait and see what David C. says before we start assuming things and telling tales of woe and doom.

I for one believe in this project, I can't see myself going to another MMO, and I know others feel the same.

Once David C. or Xaviar give us a clearer picture on what is happening, discuss it then. Rather than assume things about their situation that maybe darn't nearly as bad as you are suggesting.

I recommend we just wait and see, and stop this before it turns into a flame, afterall theres nothing we can really do to make this particular situation any different other than to spread word of ryzom to our friends and get them playing.

Just my two yubos and a bodoc...

OK, I'm willing to stop the discussion for now so it doesn't turn into a flame war. One thing I won't ever do, however, is overlook the obvious. Right after they closed a server and fired a support group, we have been told the company is in the French equivalent of chapter 11. That is BAD, very BAD. Many companies do not survive such proceedings, regardless of the unrealistic comments being made above. Perhaps Nevrax will beat the odds, but I don't need any more information to know that Nevrax is in real trouble.

Too much speculation going on, I would say it appears that Nevrax are being pro-active in this, every company Ive seen that has applied early for Chapter 11 has generally come out of it the other side. The ones that were reactive and forced to apply for it didn't.
ATM as far as I can see its business as usual, theres certainly plenty of whats coming posts, doesnt sound to me like its all that much doom and gloom.

To be honest there is not much point in speculating anything.

Lets just wait and see what Nevrax have to say inside the next couple of months.

And as I once pointed out - lets just hope all goes well. :D

Even though you're not trying to scare people, that might be the effect you (and others) have on people coming here to check the game out.
By all means, air your dissapoinments, but try not to speculate to much on whether or not SoR will see the sunrise tomorrow morning. It might help you to get your frustrations out, but it's not attracting new players that will in the end pay for the continued development of SoR (and your satisfaction).

I think "beginning of next week" has gone already. Am I missing something here?
