nice post, shame it is just another attempt to defend the Guiltly, either that, or just plain blind, Bugged mobs, being dragged around as pets, , hmmm then why are these bugged mobs killing other players & not the players who say they have them as pets?, it always seems to be the same ppl/ Guilds that are having the PETS run over them.
All nice ppl & dont let relationships come into it?. hmmm screenshots / witness's i have of REGIONAL slander/name calling etc... would say a different story, the few that you say do this, get very personal with people, ( way OTT for RP ).
Even your members now are starting to Leave Guild, cause they are disgusted with the way your Guild Acts.
Botting was an issue? hmmm so they havent figured out how to target a Source yet without spacebar?
Why dont you just be honest & say, mayb this does happen, but i've never seen it, or well not in my group, or even, well it happens, but i dont take part in it. why is a few ppl from 1 Guild trying so hard to prove everyone else out to be liars, when everyone else knows exactly how a few of Infinity act.

Hm... rather concerned about this issue. Had never heard about botting in Ryzom before. Although i realise there are quite some patterns in harvesting and crafting i didn't think it would be possible to use bots.
I've never seen this on Arispotle server.
How can one easily spot a character using a bot?
Just like to add Elementals of Atys and Angels of Atys ( together the alliance Orbis Potentia ) are against exploiting and from now on botting as well (among other things).

Botting: this has occured in the past and it is known. This does NOT happen at all anymore. We have caught others doing it too however, even some who have ratted or whatnot about it. We wont whine about it, we will just kill ya.

The player caught cheating admitted it, so it is forgiven?
((Your Honour, yes, I murdered her, Im sorry.
((Since you admitted it
you can go, try not to do it again, ok?
-there was no punishment (ie. see title of this thread)
-there was no reversal of skills obtained by cheating
-there was no removal of title obtained by cheating.
-Zen is still able to go to PR and pull valuable lvl 250ish
Black and White mats, but many others cant because they
are NOT-CHEATING their way up there slowly.
Lath (Botter-killer) is part of a breakfast club we have at GoC of over lvl 200 diggers where we all spend many many many many hours digging and chatting and rezzing each other and EARNING our skills instead of cheating our way through. What an interesting concept for the yet un-punished cheaters
enjoying other players company while skilling, thereby making it fun
.rather than an automated bot/macro program. But oh no! this is a game! Can that happen?
To date, there may be no GM justice for these things but reputable guilds can have some. I am positive I can speak for my guild knowing if one of us cheated, they would kick us from guild without hesitation. The only other justice atm is the Wrath of Lath
.. The fact that Zen was welcomed into Infinity after he was caught and an admitted botter makes ALL members of the guild suspect. Ive heard rumours of other Infinity members botting in PR and frankly, I would have thought it just an exacerbation of rumours against them until they took Zen in. Of course this also may explain why Infinity kills harvesters in PR
other harvesters may see them botting?
To cheat at a game to advance oneself is an ethical standard equal to the person who keeps extra change given to them by a poor cashier who has to replace that money from her pocket at the end of the day. They feel like they got away with something, and its possibly justice enough to be that pathetic.
And PS: an aside to the ex-Infinity player who sent me an apology for the events/infractions that transpired over the last few months. Thank you for that.

Fools think they know what happened...lol...
You dont know junk unless you were there. Were you there when the GM busted me? Dont think so. Were you the GM that busted me? NO. Do you know what I said to the GM when I talked to him? NO Do you know what i was doing? NOPE
Can i pull q250 in PR. NO
Can i pull q200 in PR. NO
Did i work for 98% of my levels? Yep
If i had been using a bot for a long time I would be at 250 in every tree but sorry to tell ya I was not.
You dont know me. You dont know what I am about.
As for a "bot" I have no idea what that is. I know what a marco recorder is and this is what i used. It records my keystrokes and plays them back at the same speed i typed them in. Yes I used it for a couple levels. Most of the time I would wake up with like 2-3 levels and come to find out I had blown myself up. Looking back on it, it really was not worth it. I got more DP than levels.
I was punished and unless your a GM then you sould not know what I got for a punishment. The only way you would know is if a GM is talking to you about it and I hope that is not the case cause if you are that is a violation of some rule out there. From what i understand GM's are not to talk about other characters and players to people.
So in short YES i did use a Macro recorder. When questioned about it by a GM i told the truth to him that I was. That is my biz. If you dont like what I did kill me in the PR, call me names or do whatever you wanna do. Yea i am a bad person for "botting" in the past. I no longer bot.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
