I am guessing that the Friday patch was meant to fix the lag problem and has only made things worse and there is much internal politics going on at Nevrax trying to decide whether to roll back the whole server to a previous lag-free version. A truly depressing decision for them to have to make. I speculate that they are having a lot of hot meetings and the poor devs are getting it in the ear.

is holyday yes, this don't justify the devs cuz i worked too as well on holidays in the past... and me as 100s of us... but this is not the real problem.
the problem is, as someone else said in another post, that the problems happens ESPECIALLY when the damage is max... so plz stop blame these guys and let them work in a quite atmosphere.
surely have alot of ppl that wanna you die don't let u free to work as well and with a mind-free.
i know, ryzom is 90% of life of someone here... but seriously this is not a problem of the devs... is a problem of your mind... exists a real world to explore here too!
use this "free" time to do something u didn't in the past days cause ryzom... for example go to find your dead pet under your bed cuz u forget to give him food 4 play ryzom, give the keys of the car to your children cuz he have a guide licence now, not only your character grow up
see ya later in game...
P.S.
u wanted an easter egg? u like surprise? now u have! LOL

Well... 8 hours isnt a big deal agreed - it was the lack of notice (which we now have an update) that was frustrating...

I was not blaming anyone or saying that the downtime is the end of the world.
I was mearly stating that there has been many problems in the last 2 weeks and now is an even bigger one.
However, those that say "discover the real world" etc.... well that is a little childish to speculate that everyone that plays ryzom has not got a real life - or in fact uses Ryzom to the extent (as another post put) 90% of their time.
I spend a good amount of time working, studying and spending time with loved ones.
As I paying customer that chooses to play a couple of hours today - and cannot, well I think i am entiitled to my opinion.

Happy easter
No one has the weekend off. We don't do weekends or holidays as that is when our players are more likely to be here. and if they're here, we're here for them - regardless of whether it's Easter or Christmas or any of those other occasions you guys get free time.

These mmorpgs created a new class of mission critical applications as I see. Not even banks want servers online that badly as we do.
