The World Bank will give loans to fighters and mages and charge them a small interest. When they need to re-equipt after they level or their armor falls off we'll let them refinance. Anyway soon enough they will have a debt of a third world country and we'll have to subsidize them with all the money we made off them. Meanwhile we'll pay harvesters to forage less in the Prime Roots (call it "conservation") and artifically keep the prices for mats high. Fine mats would be the norm to keep the durability low (can't have durable goods lasting a whole year!).

So, my suggestions.
1. The trade system needs to change to work both ways. I should be able to post a request for an item along with my payment to an 'intermediary'. The crafter would make the item, that matches my min specs and I can then accept the item. This would also benefit in that it would be an off-line system. In that I could post a request and an off-line player would later be able to see my request and utilize it.
2. The trading system needs to be more flexible. I should be able to request Q100 mats of a certain type at a certain price. This could make it profitable to be a digger only at that level. I could offer 1000 dapp a mat, and that would be incredibly more than someone could get from crafting it into something themselves.
Please add your points and suggestions to improve the system.
*Hey yea it'll be great to see so many additional players (a potential customers ;P )
Well This is solved by the traveling merchant named Seawe, as i stated in the Arispotle Bazaar <plug>i take orders for anything and will deliver for a small charge. just message me

</plug> time to fullfill an order can vary depending on its size and perhaps time placed. But usually a day or less.
It would be nice to have a bulletin board in each capitol for these types of things. But don't forget us player merchants
HQ items can be abit hard as right now most crafters only make for their own guilds. I do hope that this changes some.

(snip)
To sum up, I will look into the idea of setting up a Ryzom web auction system with all the basic features that you would find at Ebay or Yahoo! Auctions.
Spiff - I think the auction site is a great idea and I'd definitely use it to determine fair market value for my goods. I think with the merger it will be even more viable and useful. Any progress on that front?

Maybe if all crafters made it a point to put atleast 2 full sets of odd and end gear on market daily, that would help the community as a whole?
2 reasons I wouldnt do that:
1- why would I *waste* mats (which are a total pain to dig, remember how boring it is) on 2xp per craft when I can get 1000 times this on a regular craft that matches my level ?
2- if I crafted q30 weapons, I'd become a competitor to the lowest level crafters that have just begun the game, and if someone needs money here, it certainly is not me.

imo biggest problem is: lowwer lvls ask the best crafters to get their stuff. I for example am an expert sword crafter.
peeps pm me for a ql80 sword. basicly i dont mind at al and really like to help them out BUT this is bad for the low lvl market. Low lvl crafters wont be able to make the stats on the sword i can do (even the look of it as in burning, high ql etc etc)
so there is very low chanche u can sell a stavon sword of dammage if another one can make for the same (even lower) price a burning stavon sword of dmg (exellent/supreme)
caus hey what do i ask for a sword that lvl... mainly i just ask them to pick a price...

Why wont lower lvl crafters be able to get the same stats ? The only difference with the basic/med/hq plans is the hitpoints.

Because it is harder for them to get the excellent and supreme mats, both dug and mob mats.

No, not necessarily.
