I can see that MY idea sucks because YOUR level in PR is 230... pleveling PR to 230 is not that difficult, especially with 3k per 1 mat as you were getting before patch one. Try to be objective and honest - even if its once in a blue moon.

well thats is the way Devs are ... they have yet to fix something without going from one end of the spectrum to another ...

roots where too easy the made it deadly.. it was too much they removed the mobs :) i walk from one side of the umbra to the other with out any problems... that is just wrong ...

if u look at GoC only the area between teleporters is used.. i have yet to see another forager all the way west and why would anyone go there to begine with? if u can get all the mats at the entrance by dodging a few jugs and ocyxes ... given its not the same as comming out 50 meters from town and digging q200 mats with the option of running to the guards like a girl :) (no offence ladies) but at least its more challenging

trykers are not that hard also go norht of LS and grind all day long in the safety... and if anything take a swim :) but it is also harder then fyros or zorai

ok, i think i was misunderstood, I choose to RP a Karavan follower, because that seems to be what the game mechanics is leading to. I have no problem with someone else not wanting to do that, that's fine, but that's how i enjoy the game. My problem is, if i'm going to RP a Karavan follower, then i can not get the best mats. I think the PR is fine the way it is, it's good to have the best mats in a very difficult area, that's the way it should be, and i think it's fine to have to level a different forage tree to get the best mats, that's fine too, my problem is that I can not get to those. If maybe one of the PR areas witht he best mats wasn't actually underground that would fix it for me, but i don't see that happening.
I don't know what the solution is, i'm not looking for a free ride, I am only just passing 100 forrest forage, and i know i've got a log hard road ahead of me to get the best mats, but i want to be able to take that road in a way that i'm allowed to in my role played persona, that's all.

Because as I stated earlier, it is much safer to dig in a Q250 zone in Matis then a PR zone.

me being in the guild has nothing to do with his opinion or mine for that matter

and what happend to all the people who crafted q150 amps when nevrax desided that they will move amps to another tree?

and dont start comparing xp pre patch 1 and now ... when we started playing PR was basicly empty and with 3k a pop for 1 mat of digging was a give away

yes it is easier to dig q250 matis then PR ... noone saying otherwise but the system is screwed up ... its too easy to get mats with the curent "refund" away .... it took me maybe a week to get from lvl 50 1h swords craft to lvl 185 and it will take another week or so to get to 250 ...too easy too fast because i can dig out 4000+ mats in 3 - 4 hours

in any case its off the topic already ... the idea of the post was to hear the opinions of the supreme mats solution .. and not who gets it easier then others

holy crap..

It takes me about 5 hours of digging right now to get anough mats for maybe 3 or 4 levels in crafting, well it takes me that long to fill 1 packer, what or where did you get your pick? I want one!

There was no amp crafting tree. The only way you could craft q150 amps was to "try" using the melee weapon craft skill you got elsewhere. I agree it would have been possible to start branching at 100, and this makes sense, for they are 2H weapons. But don't pretend they lost 100 craft levels, they lost 50.

Are we reading the same forum, because it seems there are a lot of people agree with me the mat distribution is broken. A lot of people have a lot of different suggestions - why not go back to page 1 and read it from the beginning?


As to him agreeing with me - beeing in the same guild has hardly something to do with it. Once again, read the posts and you will see that we agree in a generic sense, but not on details.

Take a look at the poll results if you are too lazy to read the text.
- 38 people agree with me system should be augmented,
- 14 that want to keep supremes to roots only.
- 5 say that everything is the way it should be. 47 out of 52 people say things should be changed.

You are in a minority buddy.

1000 mats per hour is a rough number i can dig out; about 700 mats per hour if nodes are not very rich and i have to run around the area to find it. so 3-4k mats in 3/4 hrs of digging is about crrect figure

When amps were switched into a close combat category from 2 handed weapons, I was lvl~150, so I lost about 100. The interesting part of it - I'm a mage, I took sword crafting ONLY for the purposes of making amps. I dont need swords; i dont use them. Nevertheless, nevrax chose to move the skill and leave me with Q50 amps when I needed 120+ i could craft before.

They did it to rebalance the game (which i do agree was reasoable albeit my own lost points made me feel otherwise initially). Why not do the same thing with harvesters? From a higher level - are we looking to maintain imbalance and lack of common sense in harvesting because of few individuals that plevels harvesting pre-patch 1? Be objective.
