His problem is very simple - he sees people that can advance themselves faster because of methodologies they employ; he didnt think of it or doesnt do it because he doesnt need to - therefore it must be banned.
Funny how Raynes here says that it is wrong - I saw his mats hanging on a vendor for quite a price.

I have to wonder what is your problem with people that use it since you don´t...you made a choise and we have made ours...i don´t see any problem with it since its not even perfect due to limitation of things you can have selling
Just have to wonder why you are above that and other players in that concern, just sounds selfish to me, if some people like and use this system acording to you they should not have it...great...

And when you sell stuff to vendors they should be available ONLY on the vendor you sold to.
Although I dont RP:
1) Karavan has spaceships.... perhaps banking should be available only to Karavan followers - i'll vote for that; as a Kami follower you will be out of luck.
2) See #1
raynes wrote:The reason why banks and free teleportation aren't in game yet is for the very reason that you can't access a packer from 20K away, it doesn't fit the game. To make it work would be a nightmare. First of all how would you access your stuff in Matis lands when you are a Fyros? The two races hate each other, one isn't going to let the other open a bank branch in their capital. Second how would the Matis branch get information to and from the Fyros branch? There is no mass communication. You would have to put a request into the bank to get your money or items, then wait while someone actually went and got the item. Banks simple do not fit the game currently.

Implement a wire transfer or something - charge me if I use a bank in fyros... implement a charge based on my fame (just please show me the same numbers as the ones go into effect - not currently the case.)
The fact that nevrax designed economy very poorly should not result in me spending 5 minutes and 50 to 100K to access my stuff. It is rediculous.
If you have nothing to store - good for you; when you will i suspect the song will change.
Implement a wire transfer??? Yeah, then they can dump the idea of mounts and put in cars. Exactly how would a wire transfer work when there is no technology on Atys? The exception is what the Karavan has on the planet, and they won't let homins use it.
One of the greatest things about this game is the fact that the devs have worked hard to make sure everything fits and makes sense. For example there is no money or weapons dropping off of animals, there are animal parts. Mounts can't go forever without food, they have to be fed. If you want the devs to put in a bank suggest a way it could work within the context of the environment and lore.
And as for problems with storage, if you don't think the lack of storage effects me you are sadly mistaken. I can't carry my fighting armor and harvesting stuff around with me all the time. But I accept that as part of the game.
I'm sorry but your convienence does not override the setting of the game.

ok first of all, your are smoking too much of something if you think I care in the least bit that people are advancing faster than me. Two friends of mine in game, Danu and Shifter are both well ahead of me level wise. One is a fighter and one is a harvester. At one point I was higher than them. I showed them things in game that could level them faster. I could of very easily followed the exact same path as them, and I would be at the same place as them. I didn't. If you don't beleive me, ask them.
As for my mats at a vendor, they are there because that is the way you sell them. I don't inflate the price, I just go with what it suggests.
Finally I am fed up with you making assumptions concerning my choices in game. Every single one of your views on why I have done things is wrong. You have been pissed off ever since I left LPD. Get over it.

Only problem is that homins can't go onto the spaceships, nor are they allowed to use the Karavan technology. Try reading the game lore and background sometime.

While personal insults are always appreciated; dont pop a blood vessle.

I'm not entirely interested in your level progression - you didnt have to put your life story down

Oh, so those 15000 per mat was a way to sell it - i get it - in that case I'm doing exactly the same thing, except due to harvesting skill my mats are of a better Q and the price on them is a tad higher.

LPD? I dont think I'm the person you think I'm. I realy dont impose my lifestyle on you - if you dont want to see my mats on the vendor, put a filter on, if you dont like my posts, dont read them.

Putting my RP hat on -
Funny, i got teleported by karavan spaceship into Yrkanis.
Interesting that I can craft autolaunchers and shoot people for 1200 hp a shot.

However posts and threads already suggest this and it seems to be something a lot of people agree on. Even the people that use this aren't fighting against a fee to buy their stuff back wholeheartedly. They see it as something that we all can use and so they do. Until it changes or word comes our from Nevrax saying 'this was not/is the purpose of the system' no one can say what is right or what is wrong.
In essence, by lack of direction, the only people who are 'wrong' here are those of us not using it. This is only because we allow ourselves to progress slower than our comrades for a rule that we, who are not the rule makers, have made up.
As far as the poll goes, I'm not voting. I'm sorry but that is hands down the worst poll I have ever seen. Most poll takers try to skew things one sided. In ways that most people will vote before they realize it. Look at that poll! Dear god who ever said what the 'right' thing to do was? You? Do you work for Nevrax? are you such a powerless development coordinator that you have to garner consumer support? Dear god man, get a lobotomy. People like you start wars in countries where they don't belong.
Exploiting a known problem? There are filters. People who buy stuff on accident almost always say 'oopsie' my bad for not using what's right in front of me. It's a problem? No kirvir you are the problem. You could use this but you deign not to. Then you make ridiculous suggestions like removing the materials and 10's of hours of people's time...all because you decided not to exploit this, and for that you should be rewarded through other people's agony. You are one sick jerk and the sickest thing about you is that you had to make it so obscene that I had to come in and post and EVERYONE knows when I post I piss people off. I don't mean to, it's just that inherent evil thing. It's genetic.
no no no I DONT AGREE TO A FEE!!!
and josephum pipe down, you seem to be getting a very high opinion of your ability to make peeps angry, but it ain't so............
opinions are easily skewed, unusual to find one that is not

I apoligize about the LPD coment I did misread your name. As to your other coment, I only have one responce. If you don't like the way trade is setup, go play another game. Because a bank isn't going to happen, no matter how much you complain.

For the record, I was not the one that complained - the starter of this thread did.
As for the bank: The certainty you speak with leads me to believe you are on the dev. staff. Stop babbling!
As for another game - I will do when i deem that necessary. I have played enough online games to see when it will go nowhere.

I definitley wont miss your threads, nor your exploits Lariva
. Although I don't know you in game, I have seen enough of your views to see a true con artist. Complain all you want about not having space and only having 3 packers to blame your poor choice of exploiting on. Ever hear of an apartment which now has a bulk of 2000? How many mats would that hold exactly? For your view on this game going no where.....why not quit now? I'm sure the day they fix this problem with the vendor exploit, you will be the first to leave. Im just waiting for the day I will see the Thread named "I'm fed up with nerfing of exploits, so I'm quitting." By: Lariva.

The fee really isn't up to us. it's just a suggestion. Personally, without a fee, I find transporting with my mektoubs to be quite a bit more cost effective for both 24k AND the time running to a mat merchant to GH... That's my purpose though. Others can craft right in front of the raw mat merchant and sell stuff right back.
Maybe the solution isn't a buy back fee but an option only to sell to the correct vendor, which includes more running around. Some people would pay the cash to save the time of running, others wouldn't.
My opinions aren't THAT high. Look on ATS ranged thread and though my initial post began innocent, once replies by ***** and ****** were applied I got a little harsher. Eventually ***** is reduced to sputtery crap and can't even stay remotely focused on the topic. For that matter my mere suggestion couldn't even be read or responded to properly by either of the afore mentioned people. At that point I wasn't even TRYING...same with the jewelry post that ****** mentioned.
A poll isn't 'supposed' to be skewed by an opinion. Using your opinions to sway your vote one way or another is fine.
