basicart wrote:say theres a large PvE guild out there camping all supernode spawns, how are the smaller guilds ment to get some of the action? Like say large guild has 6 250 PR diggers smaller guild has 1 is it ok to let the big fish take everything? or can the smaller guilds / guilds with less 250 harvesters fight for a slice of the pie?
I know we can all dig up whats there then split it but it hardly ever works out that way unless ya got close guild ties and such. And say 1 guild has 1 person there another has 15 would the 1 get a equal share?
I know you think PvPers are forcing there style of play on you but it also feels to the PvPers that you are forcing your style of play onto them. Theres plenty of other places to goto non pvp for items ya need and such if you really dont want to take part in pvp at all. So you cant really say you are missing out of content. Cos in that sence i dont goto WL / US to dig sups cos theres patrols there and i have no intrest in fighting them so does that mean im missing out on content?
Atys is a big place there room enough for all styles of play imo.

I don't see the relevance to your argument here what you are pointing out about the nodes has nothing to do with PvE. But it has everything to do with the way the game has been designed.

As I have said before if you introduce conflict and special rewards of some kind that can only be found in certain areas, you will introduce things like greed and selfishness. Maybe this is what you refer to, but to introduce more conflict is likely to make things worse. All you will end up with is a very poorly balanced PvP game with the same problem as you mention about the nodes. The kind of PvP I see for this game will suit those PvP players who like soft targets.

Atys is a large place but PvE players may find they can't access everything which, according to PvP players it is ok and won't effect the game of PvE players. Well I only have one polite answer to that: What a load of bull!

It would be interesting to know how many players purchased this game not knowing there would be any PvP content as they did not get a boxed copy.

*shakes head in sadness*

I dont care where this thread is going anymore, for all i care you start saying pvp is equal to genocide.

The way some people are dealing with their community is just sad.
As is the way this thread is going including all the respect people show towards another.

I wish you a lot of luck trying to solve problems in a diplomatic way in the same spirit of this thread and i am talking about non-pvp camp.

ps: im glad novemer isnt that far away :)

It took an hour and 3/4 and Rushin emptied a supreme node while we were there (forgot to mention that huh? :p ). Most of it was travel time or tracking for that darn sap  If I remember correctly, we only died when we were travelling; the actual dig sites were completely free of aggro.

Oh and Basic, I agree about Ichor in some seasons but last time I was there I walked between the two TPs and didn't even see an aggro on radar, let alone go near one. :D

Not having a box isnt covering up for not knowing the lore, the lore pages have always been there and the manual has aways been available in a digital version.

Not knowing the lore comes from not reading(no interest in) the lore on the mainsite and upon charachter creation.

If you dont know what game you start, why blame the company that made it?
why not face upto your not having read the lore?

ad this was the very last thing i will add, see my previous post.

EDIT: allthough i am using the word Lore, i also mean any gameplay information.

I think most of the non-PvP camp is just tired of refuting and proving false the same pro-PvP arguments over and over again. No matter how well phrased the rebuttal, sombody comes along a few pages later and brings up the same silly reason for it. As a result of the "No duplicate post" rule, we can't simply cut and paste. So we're getting cranky.

And what's with the argument that it will be here, like it or not, anyway? That sort of thinking went out a century or so ago, didn't it?
