Youre "in Combat" , leave Combat with F6 and youl be fine :)

Plenty of ppl have made the Trek on new characters its deffinately not impossible for a new character to do solo , but does take alot of luck/sneaking skill , if they made Treking easy for everyone theyd be no point teaming up for it and thats one of the few things that are realy fun to

I and lot's others have done it at level 1, solo. been right around the world infact. If you are finding it impossible get a guild to trek you, you can look out for me online if you cant find anyone else to help.
chud1 wrote:if i venture out into bounty beaches after trying 5 or 6 times is is impossible for me to get through without getting munched even with the teleport to get through most of it
you can reach the teleport in BB from fount with 0 aggro, every time. its extremely simple to reach (unlike getting to the ToT portal!) explore another way if you find your route impossible. Traveling and exploring has been made so much easier several times now since release, it depresses me no end. there is no need for it to be dumbed down futher absolutely none.
chud1 wrote:teleports should be available to buy from any teleporter to capitals to get around.

your fame shoudl dictate what tickets you can buy fair enough but if i go to a teleporter i should be able to buy tickets for other places fame opening up new tickets bit like the equip does atm with stats and skills.
then you would never explore, have to learn survival skills, miss out so much of the game.

i see what you guys are saying, and getting to the tp in BB is ok wiht no aggro but geting further is very hard, i just think there are so many things that could actually improve the gameplay if the journey was made a little easier, for example i would love to trek over a load of packers grab some equipment and sell it on, people like the other races equipment for a bit of variety or mats from other places. getting skills for craftings ect meetin up with mates you made on the starter isle now respectively in their capitals. or join guilds early on

the game doesnt pigeon hole your character which is fanatastic! but it pigeon holes your race and trading till you're much higher level, which detracts from the crafter digger aspect if i never swung a sword the entire game but crafted my way upto the top i might never be strong enough to go to another place? just doesnt make any sense, its a big flaw in my eyes

i see what you are saying about exploring but that comes after you have been about a bit, exploring is compulsory rather than the voluntary fun aspect

also one of the capitals would quickly become a real hub of activity and players from all races would meet up more regularly rather than risk life and limb

i know you are saying its not impossible but its impossibly hard i sneaked till i was blue in the face and after the 6 or 7th attempt i gave up

lets face it the game is pretty quiet atm and finding someone to trek you about is reasonably hard without getting some generous player to help you out (many thanks for the offer)

the combat question yes i had left combat....there was an invisible wall stopping me getting into the water buggy landscape

dont get me wrong i like the game but little irritations that probably wont get fixed nag me constantly especially the scenery the invisible borders of scenery need to be relaxed, for example you enter fairhaven on the walk way.... the bit to the side of the walkway is about 3 or four inches off the ground...you can get in that way you have to walk in the proper way... little things like this take a massive part of imursive play away from the game! i mean that total ive lost myself in the game aspect..it hits home all too hard! wait a minute whay cant i do that! i could drive a bus through that but i cant walk through it! the pier why cant i swim from it? it loses masses of realism and throws you out of fantasy land and into the harsh reality of this is an online game and the scenery will drive you mad!

lets face it i play to escape, lose myself in another place, kill time, be anonymous, but when simple laws like theres nothing infront of me i shoudl be able to go there are broken its shatters certain illusions which are all to fragile.

bit of a rant sorry

ingame name please chud1, we are going for a little wander this weekend :)

getting out of BB with my alt took about 20 attempts :) but then made it to zorai without dying.. back in the day with rushin going the other way it took more like 200 attempts, probably a lot more. spent month(s) at max dp. but now the kitin guardians at the roots entrances, kitin patrols inside, mobs with 200m aggro range have all gone so its a lot easier now :-)

the lakes do have landscape issues, not arguing at all with that, think you will find the other lands less of a problem, just not much water to jump in if things go wrong.

what really bugs me is the Kamis who can't buy the karavan tp's have to swim all around the lakelands ! if they really are banned from the privilege of tping to avendale, windermeer, crystabel etc. can we have boats please ? :D :D what's the point of having so much water if you can't float on it ? ;) it would make sense since the trykers are pirates too. :)

1. No music: To be honest, I cant find an excuse for his design choice. I know that some people do not like to have in game music, and prefer to use an mp3 player, but for me (and considering most player made reviews I have seen, for most new players) the lack of music Is a big drawback. Some people say that it helps the immersion, but to be honest for me is an exact opposite, a fitting music in a well designed location gives one hell of a game experience, and If music really bugs you so much, you can always turn it off (its not like you have this option for some of the more irritating mob sounds). I sure hope Nevrax will get some good soundtrack ingame soon, because so far Ryzom is the only MMO that I know w/o any field/battle music.

2. Mobs: While I appreciate developing a good ecosystem full of unique animals and plants, but no matter how well designed will various predators be, fighting a pack of Gingos will never be so exiting that lets say, a fierce fight with a group of Raiders in your typical fantasy MMORPG. And Kitins should be an unstoppable swarm, and in game they feel like a randomly placed groups of mobs without any purpose whatsoever. This game could really use some more interesting enemies.

3. Quests: They are just to dry. And the funny thing is that they don’t even need to be changed, I have nothing against repeating the same task for reputation, I don’t need to the 1250957024th savior of princess Katrin but give me some reason and back-story to it. We can see it done in newbie isle, and a stupid explanation give from the NPC about why does he needs these 5 pairs of boots helps a lot. So far asking NPC about his occupation gives you a generic (i.e. all scouts say the same thing) response, which for such a story-driven game just doesn’t seem right.

Other than that (and a few other things :P ) this is an brilliant game… gah, I’m geeting to sleepy… gnight, when I wake up tomorrow I want to see music in Ryzom…, and Daemon Lords, and damn it, I want to save me some pretty princesses ;P

You misunderstand the story part, the story is made by us the homins. Not static NPC's (it works this way on the mainland) The NPC's in the starting island are just there to help you get started and learn the way the interface and skill system works.

p.s. Sleep well :)
