Doesn't the refresh button take care of that? If I remember correctly, it is in the lower left of the vendor window.

Ah good point, as with the "reset filters on opening" I had not seen it when the patch went live :*) (was it added a long ago? :? ) anyway, thanks for the tip! :) . Although maybe the check could anyway be done before so even the refresh is not needed? or why not move the refresh button to the right side of the dialog?

It's probably been mentioned before.

Please change the increased time bonus, gained from the Tryker Rite 'Trykers and Lake materials', from a permanent bonus to an editable stanza. Not a single day foraging goes by without cursing myself accepting that particular Rite.

I don't see why one should get penalized at their higher foraging levels in exchange for a small bonus at the earlier levels and being able to possess some highly prized Encyclopedia lore. (of which there are far to few to start with; but that'll be another rant)

Equipped item decay when crafting except for the crafting tool.

It is a POINTLESS (mis)feature that has no useful purpose other than to be a medium sized irritant when I'm crafting.

Gotta make something? OK, un-equip 10 pieces of jewellry and 5 pieces of armor.

Make item(s).

Put jewels and armor back on.

Goodness, what a complete waste of my time, taking off my jewels and armor, and then putting them back on.

<rant>
I've seen other games do this. The devs come up with some idea that "seems like a good idea at the time", becomes gospel, and then cannot be changed. The players find a workaround that completely trumps the devs idea. It may or may not affect gameplay (e.g. EvE "insta" bookmarks), but it does serve to completely defeat the purpose of the devs original design.

However, the stubborn pride of the devs, being unwilling to admit "we'll we were wrong, we'll fix this" means that these misfeatures stay in games for ever.
</rant>

So for the love of Ma-Duk / Jena (whichever is appropriate to you), get rid of the completely pointless damage that happens to our gear when we craft.

Hint, look at the number of people that craft "naked" to get an idea how ineffective this feature is.

That said, damage to the craft tool should remain.

Bottom line. Make crafting like digging.

It already is; if I don't wear any foraging gear it won't decay. Chances are you'd get more offers for careplanning from drooling Tryker males as well.

But euhm, back on the item decay... item decay is based on the number of actions you perform. Foraging has a low number of actions, close combat training a very high number. Craft is rather negligable on your gear's durability compared to casting and fighting.
Never have I worn out a set of clothes by mere crafting, after more than 900 craft levels, and I rarely crafted naked (drooling Tryker males again).

Isn't this just the same like people hunting naked? It's silly, but some do. But you can't ask they change item decay for hunting then as well?
Eitherway, since all item decay seems based on the number of actions for all actions, remember you're asking for a major overhaul on the basics of all item decay in the whole game.

Youre a HA Crafter = High Exp (mat use) per Craft Action , if youd have done those 900 lvls on the old style Jewels (or any low mat Craft) youd have gone through a fair few sets :)

I always Craft naked unless its a one-off or im Boosting , I do however think item wear in use is a good thing but it does require balancing imo to include the strength of the Action

it isnt pointless, its realism. Crafting wears out your equipment in RL as well... thats why you dont see carpenters, mechanics, and so on, wearing suits :) - they wear inexpensive overalls or the like.

True I guess; I forgot about low material crafts.

But it still is no less different comparing jewelcraft to heavy armourcraft then it is close combat or one-handed range versus magic use. Some things just require more actions, hence more decay.

The point still stands that you'd need to overhaul the whole decay system which would inevitably have it's impact on craft statistics (durability) and also the economy. I'm not saying it can't use some tweaking, but I doubt it would be a small change. Maybe something for Atys2 soon(tm)?

Judging from the way the boot-splash-screen looks, its more like "The Saga of Ryzom - (2) <something else than Atys>
