welcome
mynno wrote:Could you make it so you can re-read what a quest giver says to you? I know you have a summary window but in some cases as a newbie learning the game there is involved instructions on where to hunt or what is needed and the summary window does not give out all the information you need.
it's a very good suggestion, it would be nice for the NPE if all the quests you complete and gameplay explanations that are given would be saved into some kind of permenent journal
mynno wrote:Also and keep in mind I am a total newb could you make it a bit easier to ditinguish creatures that are aggressive as opposed to non-aggressive? I may be missing something in the rulebook or forums or maybe game is just designed to be this way so you learn from experience what is dangerous or not but as a new player some things kill you so quick it takes a bit of the fun out of it until you learn what it is killing you.
nah, that would ruin the immersion i think. you can tell what's aggressive or not by observation. when you see a new mob take some time to watch it, you can see generally which are hunters, which herd together and run from said hunters
mynno wrote:I would also like to see a bit more explanation of what the different stanzas do. Yes I know that for example Heal Self 2 is better than Heal Self 1 but how much better is it? Again I may be missing this info somehow when looking for it.
you can right click a lot of things to get more information
mynno wrote:But how do you compare the different damage types against each other to see what you should select with your precious points? I see this question asked alot on the island as well....what is the difference between Gentle Extraction and Harmful Extraction and which should I take first? This leads me to believe that the explanation of the stanzas need to be more clear and give a better idea of what they do and are used for.
again you learn from experience, you cant compare damage types as different mobs with have different resistances. if you look in the sys info as you are fighting you will see something like: you hit the evil yubo for 24(40).. the first number is the actual damage, the one in brackets the max possible, in this example its resistent to the weapon type you are using.
I think but cant recall that the difference between gentle and harmful is explained in one of the big pop-ups when doing the forage missions. Forage is the most complex skill by far, and has been considerably dumbed down on the island to help guard against confusion and bad skill choices, best bet is to ask for help

Hello,
I have searched this thread, and it's been mentionned before a while ago, but this is what bugs me most:
Not being able to tell who in the guild is online. Of course there's the workaround of adding everyone to the friends list, but with 188 members in my guild, and not being able to add them when they're offline, it's barely any use.
/who guild would be plenty swell.
A related thing which I would find very useful is to receive notifications (preferably not in System Info) whenever either someone on the contact list, or in the guild logs in or logs out.

I would also REALLY like the ability to see what Debuffs are currently active on an enemy. Icons below their HP bar or something.

ah yes another good change. When I try to buy a pact and I don't have enough fame, make the teleporter tell me "You require XX fame with XX faction in order to make a pact with this teleporter." Also make the Ma-Duke items show up when i go to any teleporter, just prevent me from buying them. It feels a tad weird for those items to all of a sudden appear when i have a DP.

Please no! Visual clues in-scene are there for all to see already; for the afflictions, I mean. Less play-by-wire is one of Ryzom's strengths and should be developed further since it encourages people to open their eyes and investigate, drawing them out of their chairs and into the world.

Update the Tryker info in new character creation section...
Alas, Governer Wyler is with us no more. Unless... there is a twist in the story ahead?

I have a hunch that it's not possible yet.
But that's rather off-topic
