Well I must have rezzed 20 or 30 Fyros folk a day since the invasion, but this nasty foreigner and Karavan 'lover' was going to have to pay for the job. He role played back and said Matis would whoop Fyros anyday so I jad better watch it!

Then along came another Matis and rezzed him. In the course of the in charcater conversation he explained that he really did not mean any harm to Fyros and would indeed help us where he could. I therefore recanted my former hostility and welcomed him to our dusty city.

Nice but of RP all round I thought.

Now I don't know about anyone else but I find this worse behaviour than charging to rez!

They fought a duel and the victor ran off without rezzing his opponent? I know there's nothing in the rules to say they can't do that, but I (like many I know) believe if you fight a duel and win, you should rez your opponent.

Makes me ashamed to be Fyros that does. :(

I would rather pay 20k for a rez then get rid of my 315k DP. But sadly I couldn't convice anyone yet to stand around in Loria for 20k 4-5 hours just to wait for me to need rezzing =P

If a rez is possible without much trouble I think it should be supplied freely. If ppl have to go out of their ways, I wouldn't expect anyone to do that for me.

Its a free game where everyone can do as he likes, but hyou should always be aware that this is the way you will be treated as well.

But then there's no consequence to fighting a duel!
You're ignoring the basic point that you were having a fight. If I were having a fight in the street (not that I would mind you) and I was lucky enough to knock my opponent down the last thing I'd do is pick him up and help brush him off... why not? Because he'd smack me one!

If you fight a duel you go into it knowing you may not be the victor and you should accept the consequences. I would never expect to be ressed if I fell in a duel except at an organised 'games' event.

Yeah, but no bloke comes up to you in the street and says alright mate, you want a fight? and then leaves you alone if you say no!

I expect someone i have a consensual duel with in this game would do the decent thing and rez me. Its not like you can get up and punch him back without agreeing to another duel.

but, then again, this is not RL.

First person to mention anything about your guild was you and Rashan. :)

I happen to have rezzed quite a few Samsara recently, so I aint tarring anyone. Yet.

Are you saying you don't agree with Rashan's policy?
Heh, I thought you were talking about the Outlaws actually... Everyone seems to hate them just because of their RP take on things ("Take all outposts & kill all who get in our way" which is apparently not how they are actually gonna do it ingame once the outposts come in anyway) *shrug* personally I find the "higher-up" members very cool. Can't comment on the other members tho...

See my point exactly I never mentioned anyone. :)

My point exactly, it's a consensual thing. You both agree to the fight. You can't then leave them to die. I see duels as kind of the "honourable" fight.

PvP on the other hand is different, with that you can attack without consent. I wouldn't expect to be rezzed if I died, just as I wouldn't expect that darn gingo to rez me. :)

In a duel, I WOULD expect my opponent to do the honourable thing and heal me after thoroughly humiliating me by kicking my butt. To run away and leave me to spawn is the act of a dishonourable coward.

You didn't. BUt The Samsara are the only ones I've seen mention they were mercenaries and charging for res in the same thread.

And no I don't agree with charging for res. I personally take a differant RP direction to it. Its still a mercenary one, but not a payment in cash type one.

Actually its the gentleman's debt that I mentioned in another thread. I haven't really started doing it much because of the invasion, but plan to use it regularly under normal circumstances.
