In your own words, mate, please...
Its so good to see you've been paying attention.
I do like to see constuctive criticism. However, I did give an apology for the shut up crack. So, for the shut up statment, " I am sorry about that I lost my temper a bit."
For the WAAA satire.
I not sorry. It was a humorous critism. I was kidding around. I was being funny. When I wrote it I laughed my ... off.
I knew there would be those who would not like it and thats what made it funny. Thats why I wrote it.
Anyway thanks for reading my posts.
I would like to make you an honerary member of the Whine of the day club. Each day you'll receive a new whine to read. You can,t send it back and you can't cancel at any time without canceling your game account.

Some criticism is constructive.
However, I agree that some people are just posting their grievances again and again on EVERY SINGLE BOARD until we want to make them eat their ryzom discs.
Yes, it is true that this is a public forum, but before making new boards, you should generally make sure that what you're saying hasn't been said before, or at least not three million times.

Just the games I have seen first hand, Ultima Online, Everquest, Shadowbane, Star Wars Galaxies, Eve Online, Anarchy Online, Dark Age of Camelot, Earth and Beyond. What do all those games have in common? How do they relate to Saga of Ryzom? Read their official and fan boards.
They all have post after post by folks, often refered to as the Whinefest Crowd, that for <insert reason here> are threatening to quit, to sue, , demanding refunds, have already quit and just returning to raise hell for the sake of it on one side of the forum. Don't dare disagree with them openly, for you risk their ire and an open flamefest.
Then on the other side, you have, for lack of a better description, the belligerent Fanbois, rabidly attacking anything that in the slightest might be construed as a criticism of their precious game. Don't dare disagree with them openly, for you risk their ire and an open flamefest
Lost in the middle somewhere, are the constructive comments...the statements and opinions offered that have validity and are worth calling to the developers attention. Nothing is perfect, and everything has room for improvement, hopefully those gems get found, though more often they get buried in the *****fest that blows in from both ends of the aforementioned spectrum.
I truly have come to believe there is a gypsy population of board campers waging a constant flamewar across the entire spectrum of the genre. It is a feeling of deja vue to read the same complaints and flaming responses time and again in different battlefields. Perhaps cloning is involved <sarcasm>.
What the heck, I am going back to play the game.

My question, Zen, would simply be this. If someone does want to express a complaint about some feature of the game, where would you have them do it?
None of us wants to see that crap clogging up the region channel so that everyone just avoids that tab making the channel completely useless.
Expressing complaints is part of what forums like this are for. As always there are some individuals who complain far louder and more often than others. You also always see a certain few who complain about the complaints (as well as those who complain about the complaints about complainers etc.).
I for one think the travel system as currently implemented is the biggest problem in the game. You will from time to time see me complain about this. If those complaints bother you, you are perfectly free to either flame me or read a different thread.

ummm I have to agree with Zen.
I feel there is whining, and there is constructive. Saying you changed it and I don't like it many many many times is really a bit overkill. Ok, you don't like it leave. If you have a suggestion to make than do that. But saying I am quiting cause it is to hard for me now and I want to be able to do it like I use to do. Is not constructive.
We have made it to Fyros from Matis with just 5 of us. It was slow work, a lot of waiting, running back, running ahead, walking. It can be done. You just don't want to walk right there do you.
I remember even in beta, we went from Fyros to Matis, went through the portal and I got flattened by a cuttler before I could even see what happened, if hadn't been for him running over me a few times to make sure I was down I would never of know what hit me. But even so I finally did get in and down to the cities. Exciting all the way.
Just threatening to quit if you don't change it in the next 60 seconds is not constructive. Giving them time is. I can't imagine everything can change all at once. I am sure they are going wow was that wrong. They want ease.
I am not saying I love everything that is happening but I love the game so much I will work with it and adapt. But saying I am leaving, this game really sucks, I want it my way. I have a 5 year old grandson that can act more mature than that.
So go with the flow, have fun, remember it is a game. I am paying also so it isn't like it is free. I have a subscription to SWG but don't like it cause I can't figure it out and people kill my kills before I can. I love Ryzom cause I can take my time, play when I want. If I have time for only 15 minutes I can do that. You really don't have to play for 18 hrs straight.
Ok enough of my babbling I am going to go play in Ryzom now and see about my wonderful dp. That trip yesterday filled it up nicely for me. But oh so worth it.
