This was not my intent. Quite the opposite. I mean to say that experienced (or 'real', or 'dedicated', etc) RPGers are making their decisions based upon the degree of game enjoyment (I include those who have already left). And that difficulty factor is not the biggest issue.

Ah, thx.... I see what you meant now. And yeah, you gotta enjoy it to support it.

The (at the time of this posting) 60% of the rest of the community, myself included, are obviously quite inferior to you and we can only hope to be one day as powerful and as skilled as you are.
Please inform us how your mighty powers of "adaptation" save you from the eventual death to two monsters a third your level who will attack you while you are attempting to defeat something only half your level. I await eagerly your reports of victory in this area, since it may offer hope to the rest of us who cannot seem to acomplish this feat of valor.
Looking at the current results of your non-representative poll, I would say 60% may be an exageration. Why non-representative? Because those who are perpetually unhappy with the game visit the forums in far greater numbers than those who are satisfied with it. Your example also suggests that you have trouble pulling mobs to a secure area for a one-on-one.
As for being a rare and amazing beast, thank you, my mother always said I was special.

And you will never see data from those who left the game and never visited, nor will visit the forums again, hence the poll is designed to take into account that half of those "sitting on the fence" might return if repaired and half will not.

And it may look worse, yesterday a GM told me that they were considering our complaints and posibly patch it soon.... BS !!!
Today a GM told the that he didn't know of any upcoming patches and couldn't discuss anything on the matter.
So for those of us that selected:
"I AM NOT HAPPY AND AM WAITING FOR A FAVORABLE CHANGE TO RETURN"
It's most likely that we're not getting happy any time soon...
So can anyone make another poll so i can change to the quiting side !!!

so they succeeded in alienating more than 60% of their playerbase... not counting all those who changed idea on their vote.

Yeah, me too... this sucks. period. I joined on the "Buddy Program" and got totally screwed. Was fun at first, now it sucks. Sorry if I am in the class of those who just say the game sucks since patch, but what more can we say that has not already been repeated by 60% of the playerbase?
I am sure these games are tough to make and run, but this one will be a good lesson for future companies to learn by...
speaking of by...
BYE!

I'm gonna give EQ2 a try...and probably wow when it's released. Thankfully I have enough cash to try all three...at least thru the 30 days free. I'm not giving up on Ryzom just feel i'll try all of them and make my decision on which one should recieve my continued support. I'm not going to put my loyalty blindly to just one company I will be subjective and decide based on how much I like the gameplay.
By no means am I saying that patch 1 or any other change in the game has steered me to try other mmorpgs. I'm just saying why limit your options until youve played what is available.
I know some of you cannot afford to try all the games, normally I couldnt afford it either, but they have spaced them out pretty well so that I can try them without it putting too much strain on the wallet. With the 30 days free most mmorpgs offer you can make an informed decision at your leisure.
So I won't vote in your poll because I truly don't fall into any of the catagories as of yet. I probably would have done this whether or not Ryzom's first patch was a flop or not.
So put me down as an undecided voter.
