Heck no! The thing I love most in life is irony! I'll take my Tryker and go Kami with her.
"So, you engineered me to fight your battles for you, did you? Well, I'll fight alright. I'm not your puppet anymore, though! Have atcha' Arrr..grr.. *insert something about scurvy dogs to sound more piratey*")

A little note, i actually started reading the instruction manual again. 2 points.
1. If you claim to be a disciple of Jenna and do not support the karavan you are, in fact a heretic. The karavan are the teacher of Jennas word. andmay she strike you down for it when the time comes.
2. Elias Tryton refers to the coming ENEMY that will shake Atys to it's bowels. That makes me think there is something larger and more deadly out there than any prime root Kitin. The Great Dragon perhaps?
Any way, may the Kami die and wither in their own juices and may the karavan and Jenna be praised.

I sincerely doubt Jena is actually a deity (not that you're suggesting that). If anything, she's probably a tech who engineered Atys. Technically, she may have created the homins, though she's far from omnipotent. Alternately, she may be a Karavan queen or military leader. There's no way to tell yet. I still like the idea of siding with the Kami, though. I was a little punk rock/goth/hippy grrl in my day, and the idea of "stickin' it to da man" still appeals to me.

Wether Jenna is actually a diety or not she is worshipped as such on Atys, and many claim to be followers of Jenna who side with the kami which just does not make sense. I agree that I know the Jenna is not a God, but the tech behind the creation of Atys, but my character still believes in her as a god. Who knows maybe Elias Tryton was just the janitor on duty that night the Kitin broke out. Wouldn't that be a story to tell the guys over a beer.

Don't you mean CHASE international. and that would be the Karavan, pro-tech anti-nature.

Ok the karavan then, but they're going to have to throw in a very large economy size can of raid for those pesky kitins

Why not just hop in one of their neat spaceships I always see in sscreenshots but never in game, and just leave when the fighting starts and leave all the Kami-lovers with their so-called allies to fend for themselves.

If I had to guess? Those are suborbital shuttles and the Karavan currently on Atys are stuck there- custodians sent to look after the project until the egg-timer buzzes and the mothership comes back.

Or maybe... just maybe, since Atys is a plant, and the plant should logicly only be on one side of the planet (you can sort of make out the four continents on the globe load-up screen), their base is on the opposite side. The "dark" side, if you will, of the planet. And over there they have swimming pools, and video arcades, and ice cream. Or maybe just some huge science-research outpost feeding data back to some supercomputer in some other part of space. but, yes they're probably only some kind of hopper.
