If that's not a wake-up call, I don't know what is.
Any company whose product drives people to Horizons has to then realize something has gone horribly, horribly wrong.

jjm152 wrote: Whoever decided to increase the monster difficulty across the board was a complete idiot. End of story. That person needs to be taken away and pelted with stale crossaints until he cries.
I'm going to do this to my children when they misbehave...when I have children...assuming I don't pelt my fiancé and she runs off with David Hasselhoff instead...assuming my girlfriend accepts my proposal after I've pelted her with stale crossaints accidently thinking she was Mothra...assuming I get a girlfriend because I'm away from my computer not talking about crossaints.
For real though, I thuoght jjm152 hits the issue pretty well on the dot. And that's not just because my initials are jjm either. It's the only thing really unbalanced now, and if XP were upped a bit...but this is based off of some of my guild members who are frantically trying to reduce their DP, and what I think should only be a short solution.
Right now at 53 melee / 53 off magic I can take on a 50ish Baying gingo solo. about 60% of the time. That's FINE with me. I used to take 2-3 but oh well. This is still fair, and the xp is about 1k. I think it works better for the economy. If I fight with someone though, we're still screwed vs. two. It's not a 50/50 chance, it's a next to nil chance. 3 peeps won't be so bad.
But the game isn't populated for everyone to just run around finding 3 peeps the want to group with. And your equipment and strength still generally jump in a line of linear 10's...who advertises 61-64/66-69 quality equipment?

Things being more difficult, I don't mind at all. We just fight lower classes of mobs. But the EXP still seems tuned towards when things were easier. Up the EXP per mob (keep 3k cap) and all will be better IMO.
EDIT: Group EXP seems fine, it's solo EXP that's not really doable. Maybe increase the contrast between solo exp vs group share exp, keeping group what it is now and increasing solo.

I give it 1 week. If this isn't fixed, I'm going to do a chargeback on my credit card and ask for a refund from nevraxx.
The reason why there is so many high lvl players right now is....
That the high lvl players played ALOT. Yes blind was overpowered, but
now all offensive affliction spells are useless. They could have simply
made the % chance of success for blind be dependant on lvl of casting
(ie: lvl1 blind shouldn't blind ocyx), but a lvl9 spell (lvl100 offensive affliction) should be able to blind an opponent with the same behaviour as before.
All monsters seem to have less hps, but do insane damage. What are they thinking? Groups to have 8 healers and 1 fighter? I found the game fun before,
as even with overpowered blind group hunts were fun and if you didn't have a blinder, you didn't have much of a chance at getting max xp for your kills. The way it stands now, getting max xp for anything is impossible.
I've got lvl 126 off affliction, lvl 123 elemental and lvl 68 melee, and there is NOTHING i can kill alone that will give me anything like 2k xp. To get that kind of xp, i'd have to be in a group, but wait... that will kill xp. No more fun.

I logged on earlier today just to get my skills. i was bamboozled, yes bamboozled by the ammount of points i had racked up in the course of play since launch, and i am a very casual player that likes to solo everything. I have atleast 50 in every skill except magic which i just picked up before the patch which was at 20. I went grocery shopping to create the perfect dream solo, ranger type homin I thought would look good in a story about Ryzom. Then when I was done I logged off.
When I came back on just 30 minutes ago I decided to do what i normally do, some fame missions before I go start farming some kippes and Kozars out at fourways. I took it slow, knowing the warning and hearing the cries over region chat. Did okay, until out of no where 2 scowling gingos jumped me, which would be no problem, under normal circumstances. With 1335 HP and heal life 4 I only managed to kill one and get a single hit on the other before I was dropped. Okay, one death a learning experience.
Then came 2, and 3, then 4 before I finally gave up. Not being able to kill the things you used to, that used to only bring you down to half HP even is a real bummer. Not willing to relog just to try and work off all that DP. people were shouting and running scared like a warzone, and outside it looked like a normal day in the Imperial Dunes.
I do love that they fixed the kill the tribe member missions, I do love how they reworded some of the stanzas so they make sense, I do love how they pissed off the power-levelers, I do love that i can buy player made stuff for an NPC vendor. I don't like that a mahority off it is "insert title here" of lightness, that just means it's made from store bought mats come on crafters. All in all I could survive without the content, I loved the idea that was Ryzom, but this mass biblical-scale Exodus that Ryzom is causing is going to kill the game and they may not be able to save it.
I spent 13 months in Iraq, during the war and after, and I would rather go back to that desolate crap hole and fight ignorant people who don't even know what they want to do with their own freedom than play Ryzom again unless something is done.
Best wishes and regards to the NA-CSR team you guys are great, I hope you have jobs in a month.

wow is a free download, now on fileplannet.com and Guild Wars has event this weekend if you preordered it, ITs totaly awsome looking and amazingly fun, eq2 is releasing the 9th So Yea I am gone I am sure. I mean come on we know this was somathing to do till the big games came out.
The co started out by giving us am amulet that was a shield that rotted in less one day and was usless and the preorder code mix ups we all knew this was not gonna last long the way they are running it. Sure I expect a few will stay because they had rather dig holes 24 7 them explorer or hunt or quest or fight through dungons and fight other guilds etc.
