Thats what i think of Patch (i dont give a flying **** about our game or customers im playing WoW/EQ2) 1
The grass won't be greener!

They'll come up with patches for people to stress about there too.

Anyways if they want to make the game unplayable and then start fixing it gradually... they'll be doing it without me. I'm a very optimistic person and as i told in many other posts i love this game, but this patch has p***ed me off... :(

This is the first time ive hurd people be overly negative about SOR. And that i dont like. Not the sentiment of the people but that something has happend in an otherwise friednly and all round 'bring it down the pub after work for a few drinks' nice game.

Something should be done to alter this. maybe put the creatures back to how they were and lover the xp. Thatd slow leveling and not spoil the fun of the game. If we knew the max xp we were gonna get was 1000 not 3000.

I think the patch is a big improvement <ducks>

Speaking mainly about melee as I understand that forage is being addressed in the very near future.

I'm a lvl 86 melee for the record.

The monsters around fairhaven don't trouble me - 1-3 hits to kill (growling clopper is worst I think) so I went, with another similar lvl fighter to try something harder.

Tried a baying clopper and they've actually got easier - far far far less hp and more inline with the other mobs in this species. Hard kippees - get 10 xp but again 3 hits to kill. This was all fighting in my pants btw.

Vicious Izams - 2888xp but relatively easy
Gruff bodoc - 3k xp and only just managed it. - put my armour on for these.

Then joined with another slightly higher lvl fighter, and 2 healers

Crays - too easy and gave about 1800xp
Savage Cutes - again too easy and about the same xp
Roaring raguses - these were a challenge - if we messed it up we all died.

Before a similar group would take on Zerx's whereas now it seems to have stepped up a notch and Raguses are about our level.

Fights are far far faster, and more interesting - more scary sure but not necessarily harder, you just need to react quicker. Definitely more exciting anyway.

Much better combat system in my opinion - harder to solo sure but probably possible if you combine melee with magic. I could agree that its forcing people to team - I don't see that as such a bad thing but I can see why people might.

Re magic - no real comment as not high enough lvl but I can heal for more now and have some extra spells so I'm happy.

Also they've fixed the super fast running if you pull a mob and swim to another part of an island - it doesn't warp towards you now but runs at a normal pace.

Sounds are nicer too.

I think its turned into a slightly different game - for the better - and that difference is whats putting people off at the moment. Give it a while - hey I might change my mind too - but I think people are overreacting at the moment.

i love the patch :)

new things take time to getting used to and tbh i think your being too negative about it all but people are different and the world goes on spinning

The only thing thats spoiling it for me is that every time theres a patch someone feels the need to post 'im quiting' on the forums i hate long good bye so just go :P

tbh i only got this game short while ago....so i havent explored all the options....but i must say i prefered most of the fighting stuff b4 the patch....even though it was taking me forever to lvl up...dont know maybe the barn door moved a bit while i was trying to hit it.....but now when i get asked if i want to join a large group to take on some scarey monsters and the group has huge lvl fighters in it that are all getting annihalated then u gotta think something is a bit wrong....still like the pretty piccys and stuff...but i think it is a lot harder....i even got killed by a yubo thingy....i know im only a 24 melee...but i thought that was a tadge extreme....

well thats my 2 pence stuck in.....

things are definitely one notch harder - these groups of 'huge lvl fighters' you're seeing are probably trying to take on the same things they were fighting before the patch and getting minced cos its all going a bit quicker than before.

definitely more dangerous but still doable, and still easy to get high xp (might be wrong but I think they might have increased the xp for mobs)

YES it turned into a different game. One the majority of players doesn't like. Soon you will have nobody to group with.

We'll see. At the moment I see a lot of people mouthing off cos something new and different to what they'd got used to has been put in place.

I think its changed for the better. I know at least 3 other people who are ok with it and thats enough for me to group with so I'm not too worried for the moment! I'd be wary of assuming that the people voicing opinions on here constitute the majority of players.

I encourage our guild, and anyone else who chooses to listen, to hold their opinions until they at least know and have played with the full extent of the changes for themselves rather than voice any negativity when the patch has barely been out a few hours.

Like I said, I may change my mind about this but so far it looks pretty good - sorry to hear that you disagree and aren't having as much fun.
