A little off topic, but at the ATS stables, the Mektoubs with the saddles on them look pretty cool.

Yes, his personal attacks have an affect on the world of Atys. It gives most of us a good chuckle as we actually fight to save this game. Every game (especially MMOs) require a community fool. Congratulations ... Elf has made his nomination, and I believe it has been approved.

So ... where is the vote?

That meddling creation known as 'common sense' seems to have foiled your machinations again.
jesder wrote:Really .. the only reasons a guild has more voice is because well.. they have more voices. Most guilds are made up of like minded people so it is only natural that they would very similar opinions.
This is precisely the point. In relation to the assertations that one or two guilds are trying to speak for the whole population, this is patently false. I would never allow myself to drop so far in intellect as to speak for some of these cretins. What we are doing, however, is speaking for our constituents. In this case, there at least five major guilds speaking up. Those guilds' total membership easily exceeds 250 players. If you can honestly say that this is not a significant percent of the population in this server ... well I suppose optimism has its place in life. I do not see this server's population to be much over 1,200.

This state of affairs gives the major guilds every right/responsibility to look out for our members. It just so happens that in so doing, we are looking out for the server as a whole.

raynes wrote:You are right, guilds are like countries. The point of a orginization like the UN is to make sure that there is agreement amoung the majority of countries, no matter how small. So if there is a issue, a small country like Costa Rica (though I'm not sure they are part of the UN) can express their view and be heard.

I'll give you an example. When outposts come into play and guilds can start building on land. Shouldn't there be some sort of governing body that makes sure a smaller guild can get a place to build just like a larger guild? Or are we headed down the road where a guild of 500 members can do whatever they want and push a guild of 25 members around?

You say we don't need it now, but may in the future. Wouldn't now be the time to start to discuss laying the groundwork and setting up how something like this would work?
If you dont have skill or the ability to take an outpost or hold one you sure as hell dont deserve one. We dont cater to some worthless wannabe mommas boy who needs to be spoonfed because he is so incompetent at actually playing the game and using his skills.

But by then your stupdity and annoying comments ingame and posts here will leave you in solo life anyway.

That's the exact problem, who asked you to look out for the server as a whole? In fact who decided that you in any way, shape, or form to be some sort of representive of the game population?

Not everyone agrees with you. Not everything thinks that your view of the game and the patches is the right view. Stop acting like you represent the server population and stop trying to speak for the server population.

The game is about Mob mentality or have you not witnessed what an invasion is like?

Fact: No NPC or player has yet to ride one.
Therefore it is my opinion that the story they published is a good one because it explains why no mounts have happened.
