Bah, this has taken an unfortunate turn for the worse I see. I'm disappointed, because I enjoyed our little nostalgia chat the other night
I do see where you're coming from with this point, and in a way the /who list *does* allow prejudice to be applied. Even with that in mind, I can't help thinking that you pissed people off when you were playing Marble. It's a name I remember, but that's true of many players and doesn't mean they're in my memory for negative reasons - I remember it from the forums I think, rather than ingame. The fact that you initially stated you didn't remember the toon's name though... well, you were intentionally keeping it private, that much is obvious now, and that does make the whole thing look a little shady, even if that isn't the case.
Meh, I'm on the fence with this one still Half of me thinks that anyone with a genuine reason for hiding a previous identity, probably went further than an "RP stance" and did things that genuinely upset people - easily done in Ryzom, especially in the PR. The other half of me thinks that even these players deserve a second chance, if their attitudes have changed and they wish to lead a less antagonistic existence.
You could have saved some hassle, by simply creating a new account as soon as you realised this was the case, and nobody would have known a thing. Any past acquaintences who also knew your RL name/MSN contact/whatever could have been avoided, or given vague information. You would have lost Marble for good, but it seems to me that's what you were trying to do anyway.
So, I guess I'll finish the post by saying that I'm sorry to see you leaving Marble. If your story does indeed involve some of the points above, but you wanted a more "positive" time on Atys, then I am also sorry that you didn't have the chance to put things right and get on with playing. All told, there is only one person to blame for that I'm afraid
