I would pay for a game like this.

Lets face it, it costs money to run a game like this. Computer hardware, Internet bandwidth, Electrical power, personnel to maintain everything, Customer service, etc. It all adds up.

Often the F2P games are either low quality, or have some sort of advertising, or some other business model. Habbo Hotel comes to mind as a different business model: instead of a monthly flat fee, there are "microtransactions" that cost the player to buy this or that.

I don't want to see either of those business models for Ryzom. Most successful MMO's (with one exception - Guild Wars) run on the monthly fee model. I believe it's the best way for Ryzom to go.

I think it's safe to say I'll pay for the game, once I start playing again. Heck, I've already payed for about a year of the game (back in 04-05, and a few scattered months after that).

There are some things in Ryzom that you just can't find anywhere else.
