Not really, because, as said, mobs do now also at least twice the old damage.

Well, should the area get cleared, eventually, it would be easier to rez someone I guess.

It seems all mage staff/gloves crafters can start to save the 3+ millions they will need to buy mats to rise from lvl 51 to 101.
Mage gloves (and and all other weapons which give close combat fighting exp) will be in a new close combat skill, which starts at lvl 51.

Will the recipe for Gloves be the same as for the current staffs ? Seems odd that a Glove would need 8x shaft to craft one.

Say, have they nerfed Blind in patch 1? Lots of people seem to think that it is overpowered, so I'm guessing they may have nerfed it. Anyone have any info?

Yes, gloves need the same mats. Wondered about that, too.
All affliction spells are now a lot more lvl-dependant. Meaning Blind 1 will work on a ~lvl 20 Mob, but not on a lvl 30 mob and *certainly* not on a lvl 150 mob.

So they haven't exactly nerfed it, just made it do what its supposed to then.
