What the heck are we talking about here total civil war??
This idea was fine when we were discussing the creation of NPC faction camps and groups. It worked really well in starwars galaxies and offered alot of fun. But, now what we are discussing IMHO is a PvPers paradise. Total chaos. Great for established players maybe but, with no room for new players on the long road to some type of homin that can easily involve themselves in this madness.
For the most part a large percentage of the Ryzom population is PvE'ers and they engage sometimes in OP battles for guild or alliances and mostly for something different. Creating NPC camps etc would work well for them providing that rewards were limited to say some crystals, op mats or different look armor/weapons (stats determined as usual by the crafter and not to exceed the highest possible stats of regular armor). Neutrals can be involved by offering the same rewards/titles for the huge number of bandit camps already ingame.
Lets not try to turn Ryzom into some PvP based game and I'm sure (hope) the devs see this too. There are far too many PvP based games online already, Ryzom is a breath of fresh air with some optional pvP and lots of PvE in a player run economy not plagued with uber drops/loot.
Lets add what works within the framework of Lore and what does not change the whole appeal of the game for the wants of only one section of the population.
