Illegal names? LOL! FFS, dont come here and think you can tell them what to be named. Those names arent offensive in ANY way.

Ryzom's naming policy doesn't just cover offensive names though. Although from my read of it the set guidelines don't cover those names given as examples so they don't seem "illegal" to me. Bad from a roleplay point of view maybe but not againts the naming policy.

Which are ones againts the specific guidelines or rules. "Encouraging" players to chose a name suited to "Science Fantasy" genre isn't a set guideline or rule and what name might or might not fit that genre is so open to intrepretation that it is near impossible to be completely fair with it if it was a rule.

I'm not saying the names Zhaky gave as examples are good, I'd never use them myself but they aren't breaking a specific guideline.

I will not leave yet and I will just use the trial to learn the game mechanics.. an if I like those.. which I do so far.. then I will consider to pay for a month and look for some RP

I love the detailed storyline of Ryzom and can't wait to be a small part of it

btw.. Zhaky is just my alias.. I don't use it IC as I play a Zuraï (that's what they are called right?).. and their names are much like asian names, so I chose Jung

As for me, I absolutely hate heavy RP. I am respectful to those who do RP, I am carefull not to spoil the fun for the RPers.

I can tell you one thing from an RP hater point of view. Ryzom is crawling with RPers! Far more of that stuff than in any of the other mayor MMOs. people RP outside of the RP forum section FFS! that just doesn't hapen in other games

I am about to subscribe tonight and I am bracing my self for all the in character talk that awaits me on the main land.

If Ryzom's Role Play is not enough for you, then nothing will be.

Try checking and contacting the high roleplay guilds as Kedino sujested. I'm sure they will be happy to help you get established in the roleplayer circles.
