I'm glad you've been keeping records Riveit! Helps us counter the Kami lies.

But, to be fair, they're just emulating their god, Ma-Duk the Deceiver, so I guess we shouldn't blame them too much.

guys, a few points to consider: OPs were made to be held by those that were strong enough to conquer them in the first place and then dedicate the time and power to keep them.

nexus, i don't know you guys, but honestly, it looks like you are running out of dedication, which means you should, by intent and design of the outposts, lose them.

however, i do not wish to discourage you, but rather to see this in another light. go ahead, let someone else have the outposts, if they wish to fight you for them and if you cannot bring up the dedication and time to defend.
take a break, regain that dedication and time, then take back what you wish to possess again when you feel you have the power again.

do not expect people to ignore the very core of pvp, victory of the fittest. or do you fear you will not become fit enough again to stand on the side of the victor?

Of course Kami don't want to talk about OP attack times :P

But you were the one that brought up conflicts with work, being tired, etc.

There's a simple solution - negotiate attack and defense times before a battle to maximize convenience/participation. I'm sure many of the Kara guilds would be only too happy to go back to normal weekend battles.

Strength and power are one factor of course, but Ma-Duk and the Kami are perfectly happy to use deceit. Many of the homin who follow Ma-Duk are misled simply by the cute furry avatars they see (not realizing perhaps that the Karavan wear forbidding-looking suits to avoid contaminating Atys) and give no further thought to Ma-Duk's philosophy. If Nexus can keep their OP without effort for a while by asking for a break, why not? It's just like with recruiting, costs nothing to dress up evil designs in a cute outfit.

Of course, such a strategem on the Kami's part implies some level of intelligence, so it's certainly as likely they're playing it straight and honestly just do want a break.

I personally think accusing the other faction of inconvenient attack times is a no-brainer...
Just for the record: first attack on AP's outpost was 7:00am central euro time on a saturday, 4/14/06. Neither AP nor MoM ever declared on a Kara outpost.

Haha! :D Pegasus made a mistake when they declared that attack. They screwed up the timezone or am vs pm somehow. Do you honestly think that attacking at 2 am EST was a great time for a US guild? Did any attackers show up to the battle?

I thought this was pretty funny - Kali brought up in the Karavan forums that a few months ago, Keiko said:

I am not participating in the attacks because it was requested that I not. I do not see why people feel Christmas and Christmas Eve suddenly are days that attacks shouldn't happen. Attacks weren't stopped on Easter weekend last time, they shouldn't be stopped now. I just love that the KA are complaining. At thought comes to mind though: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
Personally, the coming days are just another day to me. But like I said, it was requested that I not assist in the attacks.
(from http://forums.ryzom.com/forum/showpost. ... stcount=36)

So someone that didn't see anything wrong with Christmas attacks now wants a break.

If I didn't know Ma-Duk and the Kami were not duplicitous I'd suspect they wanted a break until they attacked us over Easter... oh, wait...

Gaah! Stop criticizing Nexus! Keiko suggested taking a break. She is not the guildleader - maybe just a member. I sympathize with her idea. I've lost alot of work and family time attending battles like many other people here. I doubt it will fly though, too many guilds want to attack.
