all the more reason to stick around :P

there is one:

over 200 players doing pvp in the same place without lag!

if that is not worth it over jumping to someone, then that someone shouldn't be playing ryzom either ways.

I didn´t see a Bat in the Ghostlands swooping down on my from above yet?
They awalys approach me at about head hight, just like a Yber, or a Javing or whatever... ONLY the fyling mounts and the transportation is such as he wants it.
We´ve got teleportation, so what do I need a flying mount for? ;)

I read EXACTLY what you wrote and you're wrong. In outlands (shadowmoon valley to be exact) there are winged creatures that fly from above and DO swoop down to attack you. They're not just at head height...they're actually high above....you can't see them unless you're looking upwards (if you play like me and you tend to be viewing everything at around head height).

I'm not arguing Ryzom should have this at all. I prefer Sehraci's post about making it only activated when needed (dammit, I hate walking all the way around a fence to get into yrk. :p ). I honestly don't see how a person would just say no to a game just for the lack of jumping. *shrugs*

I like the idea of jumping, but only if it is linked to permadeath for anyone stupid enough to jump off the cliffs around Matis, or the canyons in Fyros, or any similar high terrain features like Great Boulder lookout or the roots in Darkmoor.

On second thought, save a lot of programing time and just link the Jump action straight to permadeath.

Oh oh, good idea, if: jumping more than three times in a row of short succession causes permadeath. :D

Just make it consuming a lot of stamina (Specially in Heavy armour, witch is logical), and you'll see how at the third gingo killing him they stop the jump...

But, valithan, it's true that could be a cool feature.... I can't stoop thinking that it's a coolest feature the fact of stop coming jumpers* to this game, but... I see your point.

My point is thet there is a lot of thing before the Z-Axis in my personal list (Like Economy, Ranged, Enciclopaedia, new lands, etc...)

_________
*This is, if someone don't want this game because lack of jumping, better don't have him here LOL

Ryzom is the PvP Utopia for people who want to take part in the Outpost battles, it is rare for any game to have so many players involved in mass battles.

So when we start to compare(we = a person who thinks subscribing this game, not you who play this game for 3 years,,,, "i am subscribed for 3 weeks") , they dont even think and look at STANDARTS, They just want different things also RYZOM have(which is an ironi)! BUT AFTER BEING SATISFIED with the STANDARTS! i heard lots of people said, this game looks polish, my char cant pass a fence which looks open!

My advice is: a product should catch the untold standarts of the day for games! I hate WOW, last night my friend showed me the flying mounts, i was a bit ............... who doesnt wana fly over ATYS? lets poll!!!
Maybe in the future we will have ...etc...etc...etc....
The simple answer is clear, anybody who want to play Ryzom has to accept there are limitations , the strengths of Ryzom are more than the limitations. Of course I want to jump, build my own house, participate in an economy, train pets.....
But I see around me the dynamic world that evolves, predators hunting their prey, the herds of creatures actually interacting with the environment, the weather effecting the whole ecology from migrating creatures to digging success.
There is the Stanza system that allows me to develop and change my skills to match exactly the action I want to perform, there is the treks that allow people to travel into new lands that really are scary places to a new player, learning the secrets of crafting through trial and error.....sometimes I just sit and talk with who I come across, I have the option to follow a diety and ally with the Kami or Karavan gods, these prevent me from concentrating on the 'missing' aspects I would Like to see ingame.
Tell your friends that they can find fault in anything, Anybody can.........
It's discovering the small details of Ryzom that reveals the true pleasure Atys has to offer.

If this Z Axis stuff your talking about will cause more lag, I'm 100% against. I was already 98% against it (the other 2% being my amusement as I watch everyone jump off the cliff near the Kami teleport in Yrkanis).

I like my Outpost Battles relatively lag free. I can do outpost battles, run around there, and all that nice stuff and I'm on dial up. Dont even think about messin' that up for me! I'll come beat you up!
